Why did he react like this?

About a year ago, my grandma died and I was grieving obviously anyway I had this friend (I liked him more than a friend if that is relevant) anyway I went MIA on everything and everyone except family for a bit and one day he called me asking why I haven’t reached out in a while and I didn’t want to tell him but I did and he got upset and asked why I didn’t say anything and I just said “this is why I didn’t want to tell you, I didn’t want you to feel bad or pity me” and then he said “oh. Well may she rest in piss” and hung up. To say I was completely shocked would be an understatement. I just want to know why he acted this way. I was nothing but nice to him the entire time we were friends and he even tried to force me to give him head and listened to him cry and complain about his ex. We’re not friends anymore and I blocked him a while back but this still confuses me.

The story confuse the hell out of me. You said he's a friend, but you like him more than a friend. Then you said he tried to force you to give him head, which is sexual assault. Then he insult your dead grandmother. It sounds like you did the right thing by blocking him. The only thing that should confuse you is why you didn't do it sooner.

Well he was nice sometimes and mean others, I think I was so bent over making him happy that I had trouble leaving him when he was mean.
