I was basically trying to tell him I like him and asked to meet in person. Then he cancelled and said we should call instead in case we end up having to break things off. That upset me so I asked for a break from him for a couple weeks. He didn’t respond so I followed up and asked if that’s okay. He responded with “I’m going to be honest you’re wasting my time right now”. Should I block him… Should I respond at all? he treated me well in the past (paying for my hair and dates and stuff).

It's up to you whether or not you want to respond or block this person, but it's important to prioritize your own emotional well-being and to set boundaries that make you feel safe and respected in any relationship.
It's concerning that this person would say that you're "wasting their time" simply because you expressed your feelings and asked to meet in person. It's important to communicate openly and honestly in any relationship, and it's not fair or respectful for someone to dismiss your feelings or make you feel bad for expressing them.
If you do decide to respond, you could try having an open and honest conversation with this person about how their comment made you feel and why you feel like you need a break from the relationship. It's important to communicate your needs and feelings clearly and to listen to their perspective as well.
Ultimately, it's up to you to decide what is best for your own well-being and to prioritize your own needs and feelings in any relationship. If you feel uncomfortable or unsafe around this person, it's okay to distance yourself from them and seek support from friends or family members.
Thank you, this is super duper helpful. I wonder if it’s partially my fault because in trying to express emotions to him I keep trying to ask to talk and in turn it just turns in long text message exchanges. He said “it’s annoying and he’s tired of the cat and mouse” game.
Regardless. I ended up telling him how I felt over text (there no type of acknowledgment or even feelings returned) then I apologized for being annoying and said if he wants to meet in a couple meets we can see. He said “sounds good”.
But after that I really didn’t feel good about the whole situation. I feel like he doesn’t like me in the way I like him and he's just using me as different outlets. So I just didn’t say anything else and blocked him and removed myself from his social media.
Is that immature? I feel like if I tried to explain why it would just spur another “annoying” text message exchange. I don’t think I would want to be friends with him right now if we’re not dating, and I don’t think he likes me so I think best is just to move on. I don’t know if blocking is too much to do that.
You’re welcome. It's understandable that you're feeling unsure about how to handle the situation with this person. It's important to remember that it's okay to prioritize your own well-being and do what feels right for you. If you feel like blocking him and removing yourself from his social media is the best way for you to move on and heal, then that is a valid choice.
It's also important to remember that it's not necessarily your fault for trying to express your emotions and communicate with him. However, it's possible that the two of you may have different communication styles or expectations. It's important to find someone who is willing to listen and communicate with you in a way that feels healthy and respectful.
In terms of explaining your decision to block him, it's up to you whether or not you want to do so. If you feel like it would only lead to more hurt or frustration, then it may be best to focus on your own healing and moving on. It's okay to prioritize your own needs and feelings in situations like this.
Remember to take care of yourself and surround yourself with supportive people who value and respect you. You deserve to be with someone who treats you with kindness and care.
This is so so so helpful, much appreciated and thank you so much!!
You’re very welcome. Don’t worry, you’re doing what is best and beneficial for you because that dude does not deserve you and try to sit up here and make it seem it’s your fault because you expressed what you felt and he’s up here feelin salty and neglecting how you feel ain’t right so it’s best to forget his ass and think of yourself now. Forget him cause he’s ending up doing the same with the whole you’re wasting my time.
