So this guy at my work, we sorta became friends so usually after work on Fridays a group of us would hang out and just talk and rant about work. So I have noticed that he acts jealous when a guy talks to me ( he even admitted that ) he also got mad when he saw me laughing and hugging one of my co workers that use to work with us. The worse part he saw how my boyfriend looks like on my phone and said how he looks better looking than my boyfriend and how he looked ugly. I honestly wasn't expecting this kind of behavior because he doesn't flirt with me, he told me he's not that kind of guy and respects me, and he always flirts with other girls. So I don't know what happened with this sudden behavior.

He just acts that way when it comes to guys, like he literally told me that my friend was ugly just because I was acting happy and smiling at him. We had this talk before, I told how I like how our bond became platonic but maybe he's starting to like me even more than a friend?

I even told him that our bond became platonic, because we both can relate when it comes to our past, my parents and I were homeless once his family went through the same struggles. We both tell each other things that no one really knows, ( of course my boyfriend knows my secrets he just didn't understand) so I felt safe around him compared to other guys because I know he won't try anything. But now I don't know what's going on, he went from acting like he wasn't into me and now he's acting different

If that's the case, I didn't mean it like that. Now I feel bad because at times I do blame myself for always caring for people and showing my affectionate side once I trust that person.

Oh wow really? So did you stop talking to them? I tend to care a lot for people and sometimes I blame myself for caring and just being there for him. He's young ( 22 years ) and he reminds me of my brother mainly the bad stuff and I didn't want him to go through what my brother did. So I'm guessing that he thought I was starting to like him. He even told me, " I'm not use to women like you. And I just really like hanging out with you " I always thought he meant as a friend but remembering that and seeing how he acts. It's possible he didn't mean it as a friend

I will definitely keep my distance only talk to him at work and make sure it's more than 2 or 3 people when it comes to going out after work.
I honestly thought he would be different because I heard him say what kind of women he likes and I felt safe to be his friend because I won't be the type he would find attractive

I just don't even understand it, the only reason I decided to hang out with him is because he made it known, and was stern about what he likes in women. So I was like ok cool I'll hangout with him, I have nothing to worry about, he won't be attracted to me. Now I'm just confused about everything
