Why did this guy compliment another girl in front of me?

So I was with a group of friends (2 guys and 2 girls.) I’m one of the girls and my other friend is the other girl. She is incredibly attractive. We were talking about another guy friend saying how he is girl obsessed. My guy friend in the group of friends said ‘he’d say yes to (insert my friends name) in seconds.’ He then didn’t say anything about me and moved on. He only feels platonic feelings to both of us. But just wondering what this means? Whether I’m average, below average or perhaps a 7/10. Not like it matters but still good to know.

Do you feel like maybe it just made you a bit insecure? At one point a was the girl with the hot best friend and that happened often, it makes you doubt your own looks or why you weren’t complimented as well.

Yeah, it’s not a great feeling. I don’t think he was trying to hurt or upset you, to be honest I wonder if he secretly likes her but she’d never reciprocate so he shows his interest with little comments like that. Just a thought! Lol but in any case don’t take it personally. Start building up your self esteem and confidence, that way when this happens you aren’t bothered by it.

Oh he definitely had no intentions to do that. It was just a spur of the moment comment. He doesn’t even like me. Just made me realise I’m probably not a bombshell or 10/10 haha but who cares

I would honestly suggest staying away from him. He brings negativity into your life. I think his behavior was pretty rude.
