+1 yMaybe they think of it as a joke or something, like how rap was played in the background during Bumblebee’s great return when it is supposed to be an epic moment. It was fine sometimes but later on it didn’t feel like the movie was taking itself seriously. Imagine the Power Rangers theme playing during a battle scene in a Batman movie, that’s what they did with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, it was still good though. Bumblebee’s soundtrack wasn’t anything too brazy but at least it fit the tone and mood of whatever was happening, so glad we didn’t have to listen to Gangster Paradise when Bee was dueling Blitzwing, could you imagine?

+1 yI’ve had a pleasure of a boy naming his little sister after me. He was my crush and I was his first love. He was 17 when he named his little sister after me.
My one and only ex has no children. We just broke up 11 months ago.

I talk to my partner about everything…we came up with a few names we like…then narrow down to what we agree.

Even if it was one where we parted on 'good terms.' I think naming a daughter after any ex would just be a reminder for me, even if the ex was good.

+1 yPerhaps it was a nice name?
If I ever have a son, one of the names I want for him is the name of a friend of mine who was also my wife's ex boyfriend, and whom sadly died in a tragic accident.
They had already broken up when he died, but he had remained a good friend and awesome guy and we both miss him.

+1 yI sure wouldn't. Not in a million years. Plus wife or girlfriend would kill me too.

I'm not letting my husband name our daughter LOL.
- +1 y
We would have to name together. Wouldn't name child after either of our exes. We may be dumb not stupid.

@Sasha0426 Nothing to do with trust. Wouldn't want the reminder, if you will. Why would you name your child after an ex s/o?
- +1 y
@Sasha0426 I don't need to reconsider my marriage. We're perfectly fine and perfect for each other. Thank you for your concern.
- +1 y
@Sasha0426 My girlfriend can't have anymore so I have nothing to worry about. Plus her ex has past on and their third child is named after him anyway.

u +1 yI've never heard if anyone who did that, but if you always thought you would name a little girl Sarah Elizabeth, and then you dated a girl named Sarah, what are you supposed to do?
00 Reply I would like to think it is either because they liked the name or are naming the kid after a family member, sometimes an ex can unfortunately have the same name.

+1 yI know that my sister's ex lover decided to use her name for his daughter's and the reason was that he still loved my sis and regretted not being with her.

+1 yDo people do that? I would never name a kid after an ex because why would I want to be reminded of them everyday.
11 Reply- +1 y
That's what I said
I don’t get why ANYONE does this. I feel like it’s disrespectful in a way because it shows you’re not over your ex and you’re trying to make yourself feel like they’re still in your life but through your child. Also, I find it weird and disturbing 😐

Model Miranda Kerr and her ex husband Orlando bloom named their son after her ex boyfriend or his middle name is her ex boyfriend name

dangin... rescue kitten jumped on the keyboard.
I've dated a lot of women. Whatever you name your kids, there's probably someone out there with a shared name. There's a good chance he's dated one of them. Unless you name her something stupid like celebrities do. Don't read too much into it.
"But your ex was Kelly!" Bish I'm from the south every third woman is Kelly

Ever wonder what the hell is wrong with parents who give their sons feminine names and their daughters masculine names?
