Maybe they think of it as a joke or something, like how rap was played in the background during Bumblebee’s great return when it is supposed to be an epic moment. It was fine sometimes but later on it didn’t feel like the movie was taking itself seriously. Imagine the Power Rangers theme playing during a battle scene in a Batman movie, that’s what they did with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, it was still good though. Bumblebee’s soundtrack wasn’t anything too brazy but at least it fit the tone and mood of whatever was happening, so glad we didn’t have to listen to Gangster Paradise when Bee was dueling Blitzwing, could you imagine?

I’ve had a pleasure of a boy naming his little sister after me. He was my crush and I was his first love. He was 17 when he named his little sister after me.

My one and only ex has no children. We just broke up 11 months ago.

Sorry, but you leave me behind confused here about the ages. Was your crush's little sister just born when he was 17 years old?

@scooogy Yes, when he was 16 or 17, I was 14-15. Being younger than him with 1.5 years. The girl must be 11-12 years old now.

@lafemmefatale_1 no offense, but I think two people with the same names can make telling stories only more confusing for others. As if he'd had an affair with his own sister.

Don’t know what others do or how they live…
I talk to my partner about everything…we came up with a few names we like…then narrow down to what we agree.
    Life is not that complicated.

Do men really do this? Do you know ones who have? I would never name any of my daughters after an ex. Ever. Even if it was one where we parted on 'good terms.' I think naming a daughter after any ex would just be a reminder for me, even if the ex was good.

Perhaps it was a nice name?

If I ever have a son, one of the names I want for him is the name of a friend of mine who was also my wife's ex boyfriend, and whom sadly died in a tragic accident.

They had already broken up when he died, but he had remained a good friend and awesome guy and we both miss him.

I would like to think it is either because they liked the name or are naming the kid after a family member, sometimes an ex can unfortunately have the same name.

I know that my sister's ex lover decided to use her name for his daughter's and the reason was that he still loved my sis and regretted not being with her.

I don’t get why ANYONE does this. I feel like it’s disrespectful in a way because it shows you’re not over your ex and you’re trying to make yourself feel like they’re still in your life but through your child. Also, I find it weird and disturbing 😐

I've dated a lot of women. Whatever you name your kids, there's probably someone out there with a shared name. There's a good chance he's dated one of them. Unless you name her something stupid like celebrities do. Don't read too much into it.
