Would a guy act arrogant around a girl he’s intimidated by?

He’s thinking that being a “bad boy” is his only chance. He figures that she probably is used to having a bunch of nice guys kiss her ass along with a whole network of friendzoned “orbiters” she exploits for her own ends. So if he figures that acting arrogant might make him more mysterious/challenging and it gives him a chance.

I am not saying you are like that above but most guys really have come across these kinds of women. It’s too common. Also we have also seen average looking guys (not ugly but average) sometimes pull beautiful women be being the smug “funny asshole” type. They manage to have the self control to act like the attractive woman’s looks has little/no impact on them. It’s actually impressive all considered. They manage to avoid being too nice, nervous or self conscious.

So my question is what do you plan to do with this guy? I highly doubt he will accept a friéndzone. But even though he’s not on par with you it doesn’t sound like he’s hideously ugly either. Does he have any chance?

So here are your options:

1) Completely cut him off if you see no chance of dating him and don’t appreciate his arrogance.

2). If you do see a chance straight up tell him that his arrogance isn’t turning you on and mean it. He might change his tune. He might be a nice guy underneath the exterior. If this is the case, would you date him?

I managed to date a very beautiful and much younger woman a few years ago just being my nice guy self. I look good for my age but she was about a 1-2 points above me. It wasn’t for money either. I wasn’t her sugar daddy. She had real feelings for me and loved to get in bed. It didn’t end well but it was wonderful while it lasted. I didn’t act arrogant around her either.

So again would you date this guy? If the answer is never then just cut him off. Don’t try to friéndzone him either because it sounds like he’s got his guard up for that (don’t blame him tbh).

Is it possible? Yes because anything is possible but we can't say anything definitively because we aren't witnessing the behavior. As for the second part, I'm not into the out of his league nonsense. It's condescending and cocky. How should a girl go about a person acting arrogant around her?

Ignore him. Why would you want to entertain anyone else being arrogant. Also, we don't know enough context. Are you sure he's intimidated by this girl? Or is he just arrogant in general to everyone?

I think it is quite possible a guy might act like that, but why would the girl even care!

When people are unsure how to behave, they often act in ways they believe will make them appear cool. He probably thinks the cool guys are arrogant. I’m not sure he goes all the way as to think the bad boys get all the girls, in fact more than likely he’s not thought it through at all and is just winging it. Poorly if I might add ✌️

As to how you would go about it, that depends on your intentions, is he bugging you and would like him to leave you alone or could you possibly be interested in the fellow and in that case would like him to be himself?
