Would you be friends with a girl you thought was ugly/unatractive, and would you be extra curious to know her outlook on life, things, and people?

If yes, then what would your reasoning be? Would you be specifically curious to know her outlook on life, as she probably has quite different experiences than average and attractive looking woman have (cynical experiences of not being treated as well by people you always thought were nice enough, for example)? Or would it just be in general to know of another person's perspective on things?

I have been friends with girls that I am not attracted to, yes... also with girls that most people would not consider particularly pretty, and the reason is extremely simple, I don't make friendships based on looks, that would be stupid

and also because of what you just said, people can be very interesting and fun, and you can just get along great with them, based on a few things, like you said, their outlook on life, their experiences, interests and what not...

but you also mentioned something very true, at least in my case... because once I met this one girl, actually a group of girls as they were three of them and I met at the same time when they all approached me first, well... the second time we met, and that I saw them so I want to say hey you, and stuff... that one girl in the group who considered herself "very ugly" and have had, I guess, bad experiences before.. asked me right away "why do you even talk to me, guys don't do that" and she was also like "are you a player or something, trying to mess around" and it didn't matter how I just explained to her that there was none of that, she kept making comments like that instead of just getting into the fun casual talk with the rest of the girls and me

I knew right away that we would never get along at all... not because I disliked her but because she could just not relax and let go of those cynical ideas in her head and I also didn't feel like having to explain myself all the time... lol

some attractive women are just too self-centered, yes... either need a whole lot of reassurance as you say, or feel entitled to never ending praise and attention, which is also something I would just stay away from and have done a couple times before

fortunately for me... most of the attractive women I do met, they're better than that and have just the very right amount of genuine confidence... and none of the drama, lol

Sure. I don't pick friends based on what they look like. If she's a good coworker and she's funny or wharever... all the traits I like about my other friends... she's got them? Well then we can be friends. I wouldn't be particularly more curious about her experiences than any of my other friends.

It is not very nice of me but i did know a girl who was as ugly as her brother and father who were both particularly ill favored with bull frog faces. It was genuinely extremely sad.

No I didn't feel inclined to build a friendship with her because the ugliness was disturbing

I have been friends with a few ugly girls but, so far, haven't really asked their outlook.
I've also been friends with girls who THOUGHT they were fat & ugly but, in reality, were stunningly gorgeous and sexy!! HOW can you be fat and ugly when, every guy you meet wants to fuck you and marry you?
