So officially I don’t know his name but in practice I looked for his name. We see each other every week, last year once he told me something and few weeks ago when we walked past we looked at each other for seconds. I don’t know his relationship status. Would you add him on facebook in this case?

I mean... That involves what's called stalking (though if it's innocent enough, it could be considered non-hostile OSINT, I guess). Personally, I'd like it much more if a girl talked to me in person, adding someone on Facebook is basically saying: "I want to talk to You, but I don't have the courage to admit I like You openly". Does that point more towards a serious relationship or towards a craving of some Facebook fame? If You're serious about Him, You'd be better off talking to Him in person. And mind You, privacy on Facebook is basically a myth, so it might even be safer if You went for the face-to-face option. Still, with how much reliant on technology people are these days, adding Him on Facebook is not a cardinal sin. It might even be considered a subtle hint.

Yeah, I know what you wrote. What are you not understanding? If you want nothing to happen go the social media route. If you do want something to happen then talk to him (in person).

That context would make it quite obvious that she's attracted to me and adds me for that reason. Empirically that has been the case so far for me, so you'll pretty much expose yourself.
