Adding a cute girl you don't know on Facebook?

Now I'm not the antisocial or creepy type, I get along with everyone and I guess some consider me hot and funny. Whatever. There's this girl I think is cute, she has three mutual friends. I'd like to get to know her, perhaps toss in a date or two? Chances of us meeting in person are next to none.

Is this OK? How would I do this? I don't care that much, hell, I don't even know her but improving your social circles is always a good thing right?

Just send her a request. Like many other girls (me included ;D ) she would probably first look at your pictures. If you passed, she'll check where you live, your age etc. Then she would look at the mutual friends. If she's the picky type, she might not accept your request. If she's not, she might be the type that adds everyone (to be 'popular' or just to get lots of likes of her pictures and statuses). Once she accepts (if she does) just start chatting to her. Maybe the best idea would be to start talking about the mutual friends. Ask her how she knows them and so on. Then you might want to go to the cinema or whatever with her and those mutual friends. That way you can get to know her and see wether you really do like her or was all this effort just a waste of time. Just a suggestion :)

Sure, that's how you meet new people. You have to start somewhere, whether it be In real life or online. And who knows, something good could always come out of it, may it be a new friend or lover.

I hate when guys do that, it's so effing creepy. Some girls are into that sort of thing, but personally I'd rather have our mutual friend introduce us in person.

I say add her and (if her privacy settings allow it) send her a PM; something lighthearted such as "I have a dog, too! :-P" or something relevant to her picture.

Oh yeah, and on YOUR profile, make sure your main avatar is an actual pic of you so she can see what you look like.

If a random hot guy requested me I would delete it. If you are not anti social and you are very.attractive I don't see why you can't arrange to meet her in person.

Yeah we do have 3 mutual friends but it's weird to just walk up to those friends and say "dayum she is hot hook me up with her". Atleast that's my opinion?
