The janitor would always stop by my office and we'd just have a quick "hi, how's it going" every day. It just became the routine. Gave us both a short break and broke up the loneliness of working late. Ran into him at the mall once and we introduced our partners/spouses. I don't know. I don't read anything more out of it than just friendliness and a routine social "coffee" break during the mundanity of work.
