What does it mean when a guy says “it’s his job to take care of you”?

I’ve been dating my guy for about 9 months now. He hasn’t given me the title as his girlfriend, but we for sure share a very deep connection. I’m having car problems, and when I was on the phone with him after getting home from the mechanic’s shop, he insisted on helping me fix my truck. I told him no, I feel bad taking his money. He insisted and said “it’s my job to take care of you.”
What exactly does that mean? Nobody’s ever told me that before. Why is it his job to give me money? I’m confused.

Men, whether it’s instinctual or not have that need to take care of their women. Maybe it’s just instilled in us as children or maybe it’s nature. He may have not given you the title of a girlfriend but that’s pretty much what you are. No man is going to take care of a girl like that financially. W wry one pretty much knows car repairs are expensive, so again in my opinion I feel as though you are his girlfriend. Otherwise no man is really stupid enough to take care of a girl like that knowing it could cost a lot of money. Unless he’s just a big ass simp. If he’s offering it’s because he cares about you enough to take care of you. Don’t feel bad. If you do there’s always things to make up for it, like cooking him a nice meal or something. Sex is always good w a meal lol

Men are innate providers amd protectors. The fact that he hasn't made this relationship legit with titles is a bit of a red flag. But at least he cares about you
