What does it mean if a guy does this all? Does he like me more than a friend?

He is always so kind and lovely to me. Even if he is so busy and tells me he needs 10 minutes or more to call me back, he calls me immediately like in 2 minutes. He also told me once that my father is his father and that he can tell him anything he wants. He always watches my Instagram stories out of thousands of followers he has in his Instagram account.

He also tries to find a good job for me, even though I never asked him to do so. He always tells me how talented and smart I am with all the qualities I have. He never hurts me.

He did ask me out 4 or 5 times to go have dinner, when we almost had it, we both had to rush to his office to sort something out. And he still asks me out, but he is always too busy and he knows it too. Do you think he will ask me out again? Or how can I make him ask me out on a dinner?

One of our common friends told me that he is not into any kind of a relationship, but she wasn't so sure. But I keep getting this feeling that he does care about me.

Do you think this all indicates that he likes me more than a friend? Will he be scared if I make the first move? How can I make the first move without creeping him out and making him say yes to me?

Also, when he heard from someone once thatI was upset with something, he called me and really tried to cheer me up :) to be honest, I wasn't expecting that and it made me really happy, as that kind of a behaviour would come from someone who really adores you, right?

If he’s already asked you out 5 times, it would not hurt to initiate this time. He took a risk each of those times, despite your rejection or the previous outcome, so don’t let fear of the unknown stop you from doing it just once. The ball has been in your court from the sound of it, so take your shot, ask him to do something, then you two can have a real conversation to figure out what you both want from each other, and what’s next. If friendship is what’s best, then it sounds like he is perfectly fine with that, as he has been accommodating friendship since the start. If it’s dating, then give it your best and hope for the best. But don’t sit around waiting for him to muster up the courage to try again, because that’s just unnecessary.

I absolutely get it, rejection is scary, as is putting yourself out there, I wouldn’t take away from that. But from my perspective, he weighed those options several times before, and still decided to go for it. If he can be that brave, then you should too. Not only because it’s fair, but I think with his past efforts, he deserves to see that gesture from you for once. I think with everything he’s done, it’s safe to say that rejection should not be a concern. But if for some reason he did reject you, it is not going to kill or break you and at least you tried.

No worries! Wishing you luck with your situation. Try not to overthink, because that’s the quickest way to talk yourself out of it. Just go in with the frame of mind that you want to put your feelings on the table so that there can be a healthy conversation about where you two are and where you’re going. That may make the approach easier☺️
