Because you asked him to? Because he likes how you look with braids? Because he has/expects a child in his life who may ask him to braid their hair, and wants the practice? I don't know.

Could be a few things. If he likes you it gives him an excuse to touch you. Maybe he’s a little on the dainty side. Maybe he grew up w you get sisters so he had to learn to do that to help out.
