Ghoster liking all my photos?

So we dated once before. Probably 10 dates by that point. Spent some nights together. We were intimate. Talked about our future. He started slow fading and then ghosted me. I blocked him when I realized what he’d done.

He came back later with an explanation, apology, saying I was the best person that came into his life, and lots of promises.

We picked up where we left off and that was short-lived. He started the slow fade again and then vanished. Probably 15 dates now. This time I didn’t delete him. I guess I didn’t want him to know how much it got to me.

He’s liking all of my photos on social media.

Personally, if I didn’t care about a person…and wanted them out of my life bad enough to abruptly vanish, I’d be sure to block them off my social media. And even if I didn’t, I certainly wouldn’t be engaging with their content.

Any idea why someone would do this? Do you think he’s trying to hurt me?

Ughh, girl that is sooo annoying. I'm sorry you're dealing with this disrespectful guy. To me, it seems like he's only hitting you up when HE wants something - like attention or validation. But as soon as you start catching feelings again, he bails.

Some guys are like that - they love the ego boost of having girls into them, but get scared when it starts to require any real effort or commitment. By liking all your pics, he's letting you know he's still watching and still wants you paying him mind, without actually having to treat you right. It's lame.

I wouldn't read too much into it. He's just keeping you on the back burner in case he gets horny or lonely someday. Please don't waste any more time thinking about what he really wants - he's shown you loud and clear he ain't really about you. You can do so much better than some guy who dips out every time the going gets good!

Just keep doing you, seriously. Don't give him the satisfaction of a reaction. His weak liking games can't hurt you if you don't let 'em. Stay shining sis - your real man is out there!

Wow, thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful response! I think you are right about the ego boost thing. The biggest issue is I decided to take those actions personally, when in reality the way people conduct themselves is a reflection of who they are rather than who you are. You're very welcome! I'm glad I could offer a different perspective. It's definitely not easy when someone treats you badly, but you're right - how they acted says way more about them than you. Taking it personally just gives them power over your happiness. Moving forward and making room for people who genuinely care is the healthiest approach. He's grooming you for emotional abuse. He screwed you over, you took him back, he screwed you over again and you didn't block him. He's pushing the boundaries, conditioning you to accept being used.

The reason I didn’t block is because I didn’t want him to know how hurt I was. Like didn’t wanna give him the satisfaction of an emotional reaction. Do you think it’s better to block or to do what I did
