Simple: such men are selfish and self-centered (there are women just like this as well, as I'm sure you know). They want what they want, and they don't really care what they have to do or say or who they hurt to get it, and they'll sleep like a baby with no regrets once they do, because the ONLY person they care about is themselves.

And while you CAN find this type of personality in any man, you are overwhelmingly likely to find it in the most attractive men (not only in physical attractiveness, but also those who are socially or financially successful). If he's the kind of men that MOST women find very attractive, he's VERY likely to be selfish and self-centered, and the reason why is simple: people have been letting him get away with that his whole life BECAUSE he's attractive. It's the same for the women who are this way, and for the same reason: people have always let them get away with it.

A girl's only real defense against this kind of man is to take her time getting to know him, and to keep her eyes, ears, and brain open and not be blinded by the guy's attractiveness or charisma such that she's in denial about his selfishness. Few guys can maintain the illusion that they're a good guy for very long if they aren't actually a good guy. They may treat YOU well, but if they talk shit about their friends or people at work or their family, or if they're rude to the waitress or the mechanic or whoever, then it's only a matter of time before you'll be on the receiving end of their poor morals and bad attitude.

The big problem is that so many women are so starry-eyed by their looks or high status that they close their eyes to this bad behavior - actively avoiding having to face it because they LIKE HIM and want to be with him so badly. That's what such men count on, and sad to say, most of the time, it works for them.

All those things might well be true - but they don't mean he isn't also selfish and self centered. Hell, several well-known serial killers were handsome and charming, but they were still serial killers.

You cannot trust your feelings, because your feelings have no morals, or concern for your safety. Your feelings would have no problem driving you right off a cliff if you let them. That's why you must always temper your feelings with logic and reason, and not allow yourself to live in delusion just because a guy is attractive and you have feelings for him. You must still vet every guy, using your logic and reason, to make sure his morals, values, and life goals are compatible with yours.

Being a man whore and desperation. These men don’t want a relationship of substance, there may be a percentage of those men who deep down do but unfortunately they make their own choices and refuse for one reason or another to stop making those choices.

These men many times are narcissistic at best. They only care about their own personal pleasures and either don’t care or some even get off on using someone.

It is predatory behavior and ir really shows their true colors. Many times they can’t find those women either they got bored and want the thrill of trying to convince someone to have sex witn then, or frankly just can’t find anyone who wants to sleep with them.

I do have issues with self esteem.

I felt like I was trying to do something positive for men. I like being a placeholder for men… yes it sounds “bad” but it’s true. @Whitewulf it’s a long story that’s lowkey all over this site but I’ll share with you what happened during and after the date.

I personally thought the date went ok… there was some awkward moments but I still loved being in his company. He asked me when I was last intimate

But the part I always argue with spartan on is that he was just after sex.. at least in the END! On the date he said he wasn’t ready for a relationship because he’s not where he wants to be career wise….

He said he didn’t want to sleep with me because he’s scared I’ll be crazier….

After the date… I had to tell him I made it home and he says “me too, thanks for coming out “…. After that nothing… never hear from him again.. I reach out numerous times

I send one more message explaining how hurt I am… he calls me and he apologizes… he says he feels like he didn’t ghost me and that he doesn’t want to invest his time if we weren’t going to eventually have sex.
