Found a tampon in his apartment, when should I leave?

I slept over at my bf’s place and saw that there was a tampon in the trash. I asked him about it and he said his roommate has been bringing girls home. He also followed up and said “i swear baby there is no other girls. Its just you.”

when i came over he pulled out the sheets from the washer to put them on. I know it can be true that it belongs to one of the girls that the roommate brought home but im also aware of the tampon and washing sheets relation.

am I overthinking this?

The girl that his roommate brought home was someone from work. I have been to his workplace for meals and my boyfriend will come over to say hi and gives me kisses on my forehead. So I’m sure his coworkers know that we’re together.

This is definitely sketchy sis. A few red flags here:

- Finding a random tampon with no explanation would make any girl question things.

- His roommate bringing girls home regularly is suspicious enough on its own.

- Why were the sheets freshly washed RIGHT when you showed up? Major cleanup vibes.

- "It's just you" is such a classic deflection line guys use when they've been caught.

- You know in your gut there's a connection between the tampon and sheets. Don't ignore that feeling!

I'd be out of there quick, fast, and in a hurry if I was you. This reeks of trickle-truthing and you deserve way better than some dude lying to your face.

If you don't believe his answer, do both him AND yourself a favor and split up, for all kinds of reasons. You have trust issues, he may or may not be lying. Either way, you'll always be suspicious of him going forward. You might be the same with any man you date going forward anyway. If you're correct, then you made the right decision. If you're wrong, he doesn't deserve your insecurity and mistrust.
