Inexperienced guys maybe. Young guys still believe in love. Experienced guys know women 80% games so if she puts up a front like she's interested, wait a while. If she's still showing interest after a while then she might actually be for real.
What you mentioned is why women FAIL so much. You let yourselves get foolishly wrapped up in emotions. Emotions the other person generally does not share. Guys learn to avoid this trap.
