He is most likely attracted to you, there is a chance he is just being polite but most likely attracted and hoping to have a shot with you.
How can I help take it forward? Right now it’s just small talk and I can feel he’s attracted but I’d want more with him too.
Just ask him out, we don't live in the world anymore where a guy has to ask the girl out, even guys like me that are more traditional have no issues with a girl asking us out. If not make it really obvious you want him to, not a small subtle hint. Ask if he is single or straight ask if he is interested in you or something. Something that makes it clear you want him to ask you out without asking him out if you really want him to do it.
Why don't you introduce yourself instead of asking questions that don't matter?
