My male friend says he feels safe talking to me and relaxed. We talk for about 5 hours every other day. Does he like me?

He claims to not be interested in relationships. Lately, I noticed he might be interested in me, but am not sure. We talk about many things, but we never blatantly flirt. It feels respectful, we laugh a ton. We met on a language learning app. If we had nothing else going on, we could easily talk hours on end, on average 4-5 hours, one time 6 hours. He was feeling stressed out and worried about a current situation and asked me if he could listen to me. I called him and after the phone call he said he felt very happy talking to me, that listen to me made him feel safe and relaxed enough to sleep soundly that night. It flattered me but not sure if I'm just like a therapist or if he might sound interested in me... he definitely feels equal to me in that we help each other.

Here's what I think - he may keep saying he ain't looking for a relationship. But actions speak louder than words, and he is putting in major time with you gal. Feeling "safe and relaxed"? Puh-lease, he digs you!

Guys don't open up that deep to just anyone. You're obviously special to him. He likes having you to vent to - and I bet he loves listening to your sweet voice too.

I'd say keep doing what you're doing. Let things progress naturally. Throw in a li'l harmless flirting here and there - see how he reacts. Sooner or later his "not interested" act is gonna crack, and I think you'll find out he wants more!

Trust me sis, you got him hooked already. All the signs are there if you know what to look for. Way to go snagging a catch like him. But play it cool - last thing you want is scaring him off! You got this girl.

He definitely likes you. He might not be in a place to have a relationship, but you're definitely important to him.

Yes, I feel the same way. When he said the thing about relationships, he told me a while back he felt he was aromantic/asexual. I have a hunch he likes me but wanted to know what men think about that behavior. Thanks!
