This summer I met a nice guy who doesn't pry too much but will let me talk about stuff and listens when I talk which is a big deal to me because I'm really quiet. We met at a big convention and hung out the whole time and then we both went back to where we're from so it's been an online friendship since then. I'm super shy and don't like getting asked a bunch of questions or getting asked out and didn't do any of that. He talks a lot when I don't and listens whenever I say something, usually people talk over me and it sucks.
I told him I liked hanging out afterwards and one time staying up really late on a call playing games and joking, I fell asleep while he was talking. I felt really bad but he said it was ok and then I called him again the next night and and it just felt really nice to have him talk to me until I was asleep. I've asked him to do it most nights for the past 2 weeks and he says he stays up late anyway but I don't know I feel like he's being too nice.
Another time I went to a big concert and got really messed up and scared one night alone and was embarrased to message anyone so I messaged him and he told me to get water lol and apparently I drunk called him and told him to talk to me until I was in my hotel room which he did. I trust him a lot after that but I feel like he probably hates putting up with me after all this stuff but I don't know who else to talk to and he's never awkward or judgmental which is a big deal to me. Him being far away makes it easy to talk about really personal stuff sometimes but I'm sure he hates that.. I'm not sure what to make of it and think any guy putting up with this wants to date me but he told me twice that after hearing some of what I said he just felt like I needed an outlet... too nice? Plus he's so far away
