Does this guy like me or not?

I have a close friend in the grade above me. We’ve liked eachother in the past, but nothing happened. Last year, my friend told him I liked him and he said he saw me as “just a friend,” even though it was obvious he likes me. He’s always showing signs, getting jealous, and he clearly likes me. But he won’t make a move. He’s kind of shy. So that’s what’s making me not want to go for him. I would date him if he could just make a move, but I don’t know how to communicate that I want that. I’ve been trying.

Ya I was also thinking he may not have much experience and confidence to make a move. Like she said we have all been there. Plus what if he tried and you say no? Then you still are sharing a stand and he would feel awkward

It is really awkward at 13 or so. I was there not long ago. It’s like a dance and you can’t figure out where to put your hands.
