So we have been through so much in almost 2 years. Our last major fight was in December and since then we have both made positive changes. But I started to notice last Friday that he was starting to ignore me and become distant again.
He did just have a big meeting at work this past Monday and was stressing over it all weekend. He will not tell me how the meeting went but since Monday the silence has gotten worse each day.
Tuesday I thought it was getting better but then I had a hissy fit about him saying he would go somewhere with me but then complained and said it was bullshit so I told him to stay home. When I got home I apologized for overreacting and he just thanked me for helping power wash the house and asked what the problem was.
He has not been speaking to me much other than one word answers but is still giving me forehead kisses before he leaves for work. He seems very angry more so every day and has been working a side job that is keeping him busy after work.
I am confused and trying so hard not to take it personal but tonight when he got home I was sleeping and I woke up to use the bathroom I went and sat next to him and asked him when he got home and he said “I got here when I got here” I went to kiss him and he didn’t even give me his cheek just sat there so I said I’m sorry I bothered you I just wanted to say hi before I went back to bed.
I don't know what to do I give him space or ask if he needs space and he gets upset but continuing to text him in the morning and ask him about his day feels annoying to me like I’m just being annoying. Usually when he’s upset with me he keeps his distance will eat in another room etc and he hasn’t done that but he’s not making eye contact only giving one word answers walks away when I hug him. I really thought we were past this kind of stuff.
