What does it mean when a guy defends you about your height?

I went to a school dance and this one kid pretended to throw a ball at me. He said "Aubrey your down here" And pointed to the ground. I shrugged my shoulders. Then the guy was like "Nah she's more up to her" He then put out his arm to about his shoulder since that's how tall I am. I've also had the same incident again with the same guy. He was with his friends. They we're calling me short and small and he said I was average size.

- He could be into shorter girls so doesn't think it's something to joke about

- Or maybe he thinks you're cute and wants to compliment you without being too forward

- Could just be like a protective big brother type, since he defends you twice now

- Might even have a little crush but is shy so defends your honor instead

Boys that age can be immature about that stuff sometimes. I say forget those other lame dudes - this guy seems cool. Next time you see him, thank him with a smile.
