If you can't do something better than a woman, are you actually a man?

A common topic on GAG is how men are allegedly better than women at just about everything, be it sport, jobs, hobbies, etc.

That's been done to death so I'd like to twist it a little. If a man can't perform as well as a woman is he actually a man?

All those things that men are "better at" is on a general scale. For example the strongest woman can outlift a decent number of guys. But there isn't a woman on earth that can outlift the strongest man. Exceptions exist in everything but that doesn't make the generalization inaccurate. On a scale of averages average man vs average woman. The man will be superior in nearly all physical measures except flexibility. The man will be superior in most mental areas rationality, logic, compartmentalization, etc. The woman will be superior in pain tolerance and in near all emotional regions. Again just on a scale of averages. If you take a morbidly obese guy then sure a woman can probably outlift, run etc him. Which is why the generalization states MOST.

Let's be clear - men and women, on average, have the same level of intelligence. The one difference is that there are very few women on the outer edges of the distribution curve, meaning there are very few ultra dumb women and very few ultra smart women. Men, for whatever reason, have a greater percentage (though still small) at those outer edges of the curve, meaning there are significantly more really dumb men and really smart men.

There is a bigger gap between men and women when it comes to using logic vs. using emotions to make decisions, though.

Remember they are not doing a strong man competition they are athletes they need endurance not brute force. They do lower weight higher reps. They would absolutely smoke me in terms of stamina because with the house it is generally 1 beam or post at a time high weight but short duration. You are mistaking endurance with strength. All of this is besides the point that you unwisely thought you could correct. The point I was making is about the morbidly fat men that struggle to walk 10 ft. The average woman likely could in fact out lift that guy.

Truthfully, clinically obese is described as the weight coming mostly from fat encasing the body. Some men are clinically obese but still functional because most of the weight is from dense bones, muscles, and water weight. At times, these factors are genetically and or hormonally determined. Worry, only if, your partner can't do everyday tasks and you'd die if he body-slammed you right here, right now.

Men and women are different. We have different strengths and weaknesses, but there is always overlap. Not all men are the same and not all women are the same. Why are we always trying to put each sex it separate boxes. Men are generally stronger but there are some incredibly strong women and some very week men. We all have our qualities! Women can do things men can't do or have difficulty doing. Same goes the other way. My wife is an intelligent, beautiful woman! An amazing cook! An eye for clothing and how to look amazing. She can throw on work clothes and do chores in the farm. However, she is mechanically challenged. I'm a very mechanical person with talents in other areas. We compliment each other and make a great team. Comparing men and women is a waste of time and energy. Whether man or women be yourself.

Let me put it this way. I am a process engineer for my industry. I have a female connection who works the exact same position I do. I can say first hand that she is a very exceptional process engineer for her company. Now, I can't say whether or not she is better than I am. But, does it really make either one of us less valuable if one is "better" than the other and at the end of the day we still have jobs because we're respected for the effort we put in?
