1 y10 years ago I would gave a hard YES to this answer... times have changed though. I might give an anon call to the police about it, but after that... it's none of my fucking business.
I mean think about it 🤔 What did she do? Maybe she deserves to get beat up?

😂 🤣 The white knights of the world are not gonna like that opinion, but I don't care... and I'd like to remind them---> That's not gonna get you any pussy.

Age has turned me into a victim-blamer that likes to stay out of drama, or court cases... I got better shit to do with my time. I mean think about it, you might catch charges, or a hit gets put out on you.
All of the above is under the assumption I don't know them or the whole situation. Some women and situations might give me the desire to start beating her up too... and then she'd have two men beating her down at the same time.

Gosh, what a chivalrous guy you are! I bet you treat your woman like a princess!
- 1 y
@Keyboardkat I do... when she does shit that doesn't make me want to beat her ass... that energy doesn't come to her. When she was a piece of shit, and she was, I'd find myself having to defend her from others from needless shit she started with others... but then at certain points... she needed to defend herself from me too.
When she's acting right, I do treat her right.
I mean think about it... pretend you have a platonic friend, a dude bro that is supposed to have you're back... But you keep finding out he talks shit about you whenever you're not around.
... maybe not "beat him up" level stuff, but wouldn't you at least consider not having that guy around? (As I'm saying this, compare it to the opposite gender as well... if you have rules for us, and not for them... why? Explain it then...)
Now let's say your dude bro does something egregious... steals your car, fucks your girl, beats up your Dad/mom... well, let me ask you now...
Would you treat him like a princess?
Fuck no you wouldn't and the only thing that might make you treat a woman that did that to you differently is because you've been taught double standards. I mean try to prove me wrong without giving me double standards. YOU. SIMPLY. CAN'T.
I just want you to understand where I'm coming from. You might already. I'm just making sure. - 1 y
@Keyboardkat Women are not entitled to chivalry you know

Depends, how do I know she didn't start it? And it would be offally chovanistic and sexist of me to assume she needs help cause she's a girl.
For real tho I don't know, can't say definitively that I would or wouldn't. Lots of videos of women running their mouths to random dudes then their boyfriend steps up and catches a live altering beating. If he'll punch a girl in the face I don't want to find out what he's willing to do too me, I ain't trying to die for some girl I didn't know existed 5 minutes ago.00 Reply

1 yYes, and I have on more than one occasion. I also waited with then until the police arrived, and then gave statements!

Asker1 yOhh wow. That's a kind heart you got there ☺️👍
Thank you. I was bullied as a kid at school for a very long time, so I know 1st hand how badly it can affect a person.. I will never stand idly by and let someone else be bullied..
One of the occasions though, it wasn't one man beating up a woman it was several. Apparently her brother beat up one of their sisters so it was meant to be payback.. I just didn't see it that way. I just saw a defenceless woman being picked and punched.*kicked
Asker1 yYeah I hate bullies. They're just a bunch of losers.
Anonymous(45 Plus)1 yIt depends.
If it were in a blue state or city like NY, California, etc... I'd think twice.
#1 There's a good chance local law enforcement and/or the DA would prosecute me for trying to do a good deed. In that case I'm having to lawyer up, and potentially facing jail time, and financial extorsion.
#2 The woman being beaten up might be ok with being beaten up by thugs and actually be a supporter of lax law enforcement and D. A.'s who twist the law against abiding citizens in favor of criminals.
#3 Here's the caveot. If it's a woman I know, I probably don't care where I am and Id make sure the guy woke up regretting it.

What you're describing is the only reason I would have reservations about intervening. Situations like the Daniel Penny case come to mind... although that example is a bit extreme.
Opinion Owner1 y@meepmeeperton yep. When doing the right thing lands you in jail you know the justice system has been twisted. Where I live the local sheriff told me to make sure if I shoot someone trespassing on my property to make sure they're dead, because dead guys can't sue you. :). Crazy times were living in.

But I think people have the wrong idea about domestic abuse.
I know it's more complicated than this, but often: The women is choosing that circumstance. She will go back to him in the evening. And keep going back to him. And men who intervene have often been attacked by both for doing so.
Men should be careful and not be stupid when getting involved in such situations.
10 Reply493 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. I'm no fool & I'm very nihilistic so it would depend on the situation. I really don't often like playing hero because I realize just how futile it is & how badly an unwanted outcome can backfire on me.
However, if all circumstances required for me to wanting to act actually aligned, then yes, I'd intervene.11 Reply662 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. No. I'd think she probably deserves it. Maybe she stole money from him, stole his kids using the courts, or maybe she falsely accused him of something and cost him his job. I don't know them so there is no reason to think she wasn't the pne in the wrong, especially with how common it is for women to mistreat and harm men.

Anonymous(30-35)1 yIf she was my sister, mother or some other woman in my life who I cared about, sure. But a woman I don't know, probably not. In the past, women were better human beings and deserving of a man they don't know putting his life or safety at risk to protect her. But today, not so much. As a whole, women don't give a shit about men as a whole, so why should a man go out on a limb for them? The motivation is no longer there.

Anonymous(45 Plus)1 yIf she’s my wife, my daughter, mother, niece. Basically if it’s a girl I care about yes. If not I’d just call the police. I used to be like that long time ago, but things have changed. My mind has changed.

1 yNo i would just leave her to it. Why should a woman get special treatment anyway. I would sooner help out a old or person with disabilities getting beat up

A good ol pistol whip is classic to make their head spin, it stops anyone pretty quick, guns make good melee weapons too lol

1 yI'd rather call a cop or call a security guard
23 Reply- 1 y
Yes, I'd do the same.
You don't know what it is going on and what you see in that moment might not be what is actually going on.
I will stay near, observe everything, see how other people respond, and wait for the police to show up to 'assist' them - 1 y
No I'd not get involved or citizens arrest, I'd just call a cop or call a security
- 1 y
Yes, that's what I meant too... the staying near, observing and 'assisting' the police was meant as in someone will have to give a statement to the police about everything that has happened.
I will not get involved in a citizen's arrest... While a citizen's arrest is allowed in the UK, there's still very little you can do. I believe you are not allowed to restrain someone; so if that person starts to resist, things can happen which could jeopardise a police arrest, investigation or court case.
