Why was he harping about me taking leave?

Yesterday my crush and I were to have dinner together, and I thought I'll just take a day's leave to have my hair cut to look good.

But when I went to find him early, he asked if I was working. I said I am and I took leave. He replied I am not working then.

Then he brought up how I just took leave no long ago on a Wednesday to visit him (it was at least 1-2 months ago).

And he continued to ask in a hinting way why I seem to be taking leave so often (in reality it was just 2 times in 6 months).

He harped on it until I exploded and told him that he just wants to say I'm a bad employee, and that he is judging me.

He laughed and said it's not his intention, but went on even after knowing I'm angry. What's his issue?

Hmm that is weird that he kept bringing up you taking leave and harping on it like that. I mean you only did it a couple times in 6 months, so it's not like it was some huge deal. And who cares if you wanted to look extra nice for your dinner date with him?

My best guess is maybe he was feeling insecure about something and taking it out on you by acting all judgy. Guys can be dumb like that sometimes when we don't know how to deal with our own feelings. Like maybe deep down he was worried you were too into your job or wouldn't make time for him or something stupid.

He definitely should've dropped it when he saw it was upsetting you though. That was rude of him to keep pushing your buttons like that. I'd say try talking to him when you're both calm and be like "why were you really getting on my case about the leave? It really bothered me." See what he says then. Hopefully it was just some stupid one time thing and he apologizes. But watch out - don't want a guy always nitpicking you and putting you down either!

I have no idea. Maybe he wants to see you? If he’s your crush then just express that you like him. Before he gets the idea that you don’t and moves on completely.

Also, he's right... don't take a vacation day just to primp for him or to go see him. You see he's not appreciating it.
