The same thing keeps happening. I’m not someone whose attention is easily won and I’m very selective and I am known by this. But as soon as I show interest back to a guy they just become distant. It doesn’t matter whether it’s for something casual or not. At this point I just wanted something casual and after the guy texted me about when he sees me again I made myself potentially available and he ghosted me right after. I don’t know what I do wrong.

Sounds like you're punching above your weight. Like it or not guys have feelings and pride same as women. Like it or not guys want the best looking partner they can get same as women. And this will be true whether you're 18 or 80. Dating is a meat market. Sorry, that's just a reality and (arguably) getting worse with every generation (because I don't remember it being this bad when I was younger). But maybe that's just my viewpoint. Because as more and more quality partners get taken off the market that just leaves a higher concentration of the 💩 people.😆
Why do you think women are the only gender with insecurities? That might be part of your problem.
