This guy puts me down lately but he used to compliment me a lot (maybe he was just being friendly) but he still stares at me. Why?

At least one time recently I caught him basically staring at me. He asked me a question about work (we are coworkers. I answered and then looked at him again cause he kept staring at me even though I answered. You know that feeling when you meet eyes with someone and you feel you can’t look away cause soemthing pulling you from their eyes? It was kinda like that almost.
also I want to say in the past he would look at me at times like in passing and say like ‘how are you’ and then stare at my face or mouth in a way that made me feel like he was looking deep in me? And there were times when he’d look at me and I felt like he saw something valuable like a gem inside of me. Maybe that’s just how he looks at people sometimes and it’s not about me. Who knows really. I just listen to my intuition and that’s what I felt.

Well if he used to compliment you and you just said thank you and you just kind of let it go and he kept doing it and if you weren't giving him the time of day now he's kind of pissed probably so now he's putting you down I think he's the type of guy you want to stay away from he doesn't sound very stable if that's the case

He likes you but has been told girls like being ignored, abused, and insulted because it makes them want to compete for a guy’s attention and prove their worth to him. Basically he’s confused and stupid
