Sending texts-Male coworker replies immediately but doesn’t initiate?

Whenever I text a cute male coworker, why does he reply quickly, but never text me first, but when I text him, he tends to reply immediately?

Our work doesn’t relate directly but he’s always super helpful.

He's probably been through the HR Sexual Harassment workshop that basically warns guys about how they should, and should not, interact with women in the workplace. When a woman initiates contact, that's okay, but when a man does, some women will consider that harassment... so he's bring careful.

Enjoy that he responds to your texts. If things ever get more serious, he'll start initiating.
