It is a human thing, because as humans we express feelings & thoughts. There is no girly or boy-ish way, there is only a human way of expression.
Men & Boys will cry and it is okay, we are allowed to express how something makes them feel whether happy, sad, neutral, angry, and love. Let’s normalize self expression and not deter it because we feel insecure or perhaps feel as though life is unfair, let’s uplift one another.
We get startled when we are scared, excited when there is an event coming up, we cry when a member of our family dies, we support our special someone when they feel ‘small’, we laugh at a comedy, and we are sleepy when we lose our energy by the end of the day…. The point is, we are beings of expression and everyone can show that expression in whatever way since it is a human thing.
*No I don’t think so won the majority of the vote with a whopping : 13 Girls (81%) 18 Guys (72%)
Clearly this isn’t a hot take.
Lol. Nope. That's like asking if it's weird for men to smile or frown or whatever.
The first instance I remember of anyone rolling their ways was back in the 1st grade when I was 7 with the teacher chewing out this boy in the class, and he had his eyes rolled practically to the back of his head the whole time. It was pretty hilarious to me at the time. And then I ALSO got in trouble for laughing... 😅
Bc I think It's not the prerogative of either gender. I don't think it's particularly nice to do it, unless joking. But, sometimes it just seems to happen reflexively. I don't do it much and I try so hard not to do it at all but, sometimes, it just happens before I catch it!
It should be general human behavior, but I think it look too feminine for men. Sorta Childish, or immature my expectations of men is more stern, and assertive.
How is rolling your eyes lacking assertiveness? An assertive man isn’t allowed to express annoyance?

It’s not weird but it is pointless. No one is going to see you roll your eyes because women are too busy rolling theirs. That’s why I opt for pulling my hair out while I scream into my knees.
And no! This is a perfectly healthy way of dealing with conflict.
I remember in my late teens a girl told me in no uncertain terms that the way I looked at my nails that one time was 'girly'. Guess I was supposed to do it palm up and fingers bent. That stuck with me. Guess girls always had a slew of wild 'icks' but only recently started broadcasting them.
Like with anything that is in the realm of possibility, it's simultaneously as weird & not weird as someone thinks it is. The universe doesn't care what we do with out eyes.
Not really... I guess it's kind of weird in the sense of it begs the question of why you're so comfortable being disrespectful, but it's not unusual behavior.
Why would anyone be uncomfortable being disrespectful?
Because if you aren't careful, you can really fuck yourself over by alienating someone who could be a useful ally later on. People don't always remember what you say, but they never forget how you make them feel. The modern political climate is a prime example of that.
There are a lot of times when disrespectful behavior simply isn't called for. It's just not an appropriate response so the disrespect will catch people off guard. And if there's no reason to be abrasive/abusive to someone, other people will take note of your decision to act that way and wonder if they can expect more stupid antics from you in the future.
If I watch my date get shitty with our waiter, guess who isn't have a second date. Why? Because I've seen that I can't trust her to behave herself with dignity.
I would hardly call an eye roll “disrespectful behavior”, that’s a bit of an overstatement to me. If someone gets offended over an eye roll, then they’re not someone who I’d want to be around anyway.
Everything is in context, right? Most of the time, an eye roll probably isn't very big deal, but there are definitely other times when a eye roll says a lot.
Don't be afraid to believe people when they show you who they are.
It is fairly normal when a girl is defying logic and sensibility.
Probably guys look up and raise their eyebrows more than roll their eyes. It is my unspoken response.
Not at all. I think it's cute. It is kind of sassy behavior tho which I guess some people might think is girly
I remember hearing that it was girly for men to roll their eyes growing up... I still don't do it, but I definitely do have that view anymore..
I think is funny my husband does it to make fun of my attitude so I laugh at it
I think i'm weird and feminine at times because I do it a lot
When the BS starts rising the eyes start rolling.
Not weird if they are homosexuals, otherwise weird
Lol okay bud
Since when? It's a natural expression XD
I agree
I don't think it suits a man.
Hiding behind your words is so suiting for a man
Weird? Or immature?
Children roll their eyes.
No it’s rude but not weird
It's disrespectful behavior for anybody.
I roll my eyes thinking of Agent Orange !!!
not weird at all...
we're thinking!
No , it’s not
