Why tease a woman for wearing a dress?

The questions I have - Why does he tease me about wearing a dress? Why is he saying it is funny to see me in a dress? And is it true that funny means a different thing from a man?

Info - first incident - this man teased me for it, and then a week or so later he is asking me if I am going to do that again. He says it was funny to see me in the dress. It looked too nice for work environment and out of place with the usual attire I wear.

The second time, it has passed over a month from the first, I wear another dress. He laughs, teased me, and claims it is breaking the rules. Others ask him why can't she wear one here? He said uhhhh it is unsanitary. (Which makes no sense, my boss is cool with dresses)

Later that day, He says "what if when you are talking to a customer and wind blows through. It lifts the skirt up and causes you to flash them accidentally."

I said this is " why I wore shorts under." He teased me about more than the dress that day.

Supposedly he checked me out a few times.

This is just a bad attempt to flirt with you. He doesn't actually think any of this. He doesn't have a problem with you wearing a dress.

It's something he can talk to you about (tease you. it's him trying to be flirty sandbox-style).

He probably thought you looked especially nice in the dress.

He doesn't know how to flirt. So he's using the tried and true schoolyard method (not appropriate as an adult).

So, he's pushing you into the mud puddle because he likes you.

Women need to stop taking everything so serious. He’s joking. This is why men can’t be honest w women because even teasing is seen as mean. Sounds like he’s trying to flirt w you, joke around the way men joke w each other. Hence why women comedians aren’t funny cause everything tends to hurt women’s feelings.

These aren't complaints. Not once did I say I dislike it. It is text so I see how it can be taken that way, but trust me these aren't complaints. I wanted to know if my gut feeling about it being flirting was right.

Ok well maybe you should ask this question in another way. When you say when would a man tease a woman for wearing a dress it comes off as he’s being mean. Also when you say “incident” again it makes it sound like something wrong happened.

My bad. So it is flirting? I won't take it serious since I saw a hickey on his neck. Some drama got stirred up about it, so he told everyone the name of the woman who gave it to him.

I see. Sounds as though he’s trying to show off. Maybe trying to get you to react by telling everyone the girl’s name. If he’s around your age I think that’s immature, to have a hickey. That’s something you do in middle or high school. I’m not sure if he’s flirting w you because he actually likes you or just trying to get you to sleep w him.

I wouldn't tease heck i be tell you compliments on going for everyday n every time you find, in fact I would encourage you to wear a dress 👗 all tge time with hose n not shorts underneath... to me it defeats the purpose of wearing dresses.. I'm sorry that you went through what you did !
