My bf’s love language is words of affirmation so I’ve been reminding myself to voice out my appreciation for him. I give him validation when he’s feeling bad about the way he looks, I thank him for his efforts and acknowledge the little things that he does for me and all that.
At first he seems to be really content with all of these validations but now he’s seemingly taking me for granted. Even asking for validation from other people and other girls. Could this be because I’ve hyped him up too much that my words has lost its value?

It’s not bad, he just doesn’t know how to appreciate it. Don’t let one guy change the way you are because while he is looking for validation elsewhere, there is someone else willing to appreciate the way you are. Some guys just like to play games and seek validation and attention from others and you will never be able to change them so don’t fixate on him and how he doesn’t value you. Just leave him. 🤷🏽♀️😕
That’s true… some people just can’t ever get enough and end up taking things for granted
Exactly, and they never change, take it from me. 😔 Leave as soon as you can, you’ll save yourself time and hurt.
Believe it or not a majority of men don’t receive compliments from their partner. So I don’t think there’s anything wrong w what you’re doing. But my question is what exactly has he done that you claim he’s seeking approval from other women? What type of approval was this? His looks? Clothing? What to eat?
His looks mostly, sending selfies to his ex asking if his new hair looks okay, asking his female friends if his body looks good, etc
Ok, if he’s really doing all that then why are you still w him?
I don't know honestly. We’ve talked about it and he seems to know where he went wrong, I guess his insecurity got the better of him
Ok, well until he deals w that insecurity then it’s time to move on. There’s no reason you should still be trying to work this out w him. He needs to fix himself first. I’m sure there’s a lot of men out there who would treat you better. But for some reason women tend to pick these men who are garbage. Find someone else.
