Guys, Why go for the easy-to-please girl rather than the quality girl?

I've been chatting with many of my guy friends over the past few years and this summer I chose to cut a bunch of them off simply bc I can't bear to keep watching them make poor decisions.

Guys, why do so many of you prefer to just go with the girl who will give herself up to you in exchange for a simple gift or treat like a puppydog? Don't you want someone who will appreciate you for YOU and not for the stuff you can get her? I don't get it.

It's as if some guys would rather circle the world to get a gift for a girl who isn't worth his time rather than to use the head above his shoulders to engage in a conversation with a quality woman. :/

Then there are the guys who finally realize that they DO want the quality woman, that they've burned through so many of the cheap, easy-to-please gals, but the quality woman won't have them bc she knows she was his last choice.

That has actually been my whole essence when it comes to dating. I want a girl who's with me for who I am as a person and not for what I can provide.

It's a really sad thing to settle with a girl who's only with you for the standard of life you provide, the gifts that you get her, or the dates you take her on. I would agree with you that those are cheap girls.

I don't think the majority of guys would prefer a girl like that. But it's a societal norm now where a lot (I'd say the majority) of guys don't think they can get a girl any other way.

honestly they can both be the same thing. My wife is very easy to please, She is also low maintenance. But she's also the best, Kindest, sweetest woman i have ever met in my life.

You know you're one of my faves, but you two are basically "disqualified" bc you clearly love, chat and protect one another fiercely. Of course a guy who loves a woman of substance like your wife will treat her to gifts and stuff also... and of course she'll enjoy it.

But I mean the guys who basically fall for the flimsy golddiggers and then continually complain that they got taken in.
