Why is it that black girls are the most undesirable? (For non-black guys)I'm seeing a lot of negative things being said about black women in the media (mainly online). I even saw a forum thread dedicated to how black girls are the ugliest. Sure there are racist people that will say that other races are ugly, but black girls get the most heat. I've seen a lot of black girls ask similar questions, and people just think we're imagining things. I mean, look at the marriage rates. Black women are the least married race. I've heard people say that even black guys don't want black women.

This issue is causing my already low-self esteem to plummet to uncharted territories, even though I think I'm pretty compared to most black girls but not so pretty according to regular beauty standards (if that makes sense). My school is mostly white, but the few black girls that go there don't have boyfriends, and to me they are pretty and seem intelligent. Boys aren't everything and at our young age it's better to be more concerned with our academic and career goals, but I feel so discouraged when it comes to dating (keep in mind that I live in a predominately white area).  

In conclusion, I would like to know what it is about black girls that's so unattractive? (BE HONEST, answer anonymously if you must, and don't feed me any crap about "preferences" because in most cases I find that there is underlying racism behind this so-called racial preferences).

Black girls are just as attractive as any other race. It's just the ghetto stereotype most get landed with. Every time you see a black women on tv she's got a mouth on her shooting it off like its going out of fashion. It's a real off put for most men. They want a bit of discretion and class in a girl. Not some trumpet who's going to shoot her mouth off every time somebody slights her. That would be embarrassing as hell. Like I said it's a stereotype and people (mostly) believe them without question.

I think you're worried about nothing. I don't know you, and I don't know who they kids that go to your school are, but I'm a young man, and through high school I dated a few black and mixed girls. I actually have never dated a white girl (not that it matters) but I just felt like most white girls were bitches (in their attitude). I found a very beautiful mixed girl my senior year in high school, and we dated, and really got to know each other..

I think women are beautiful regardless of race, but it's not even what's on the outside.. it's what's on the inside. From what I can tell, you're very pretty and intelligent. Stick to your studies and I'm sure one day you'll find a good man. God bless!

This is a silly article. I have never heard anyone say point blank that black women are the most undesirable for any man.

I personally think all women are beautiful, well, except for maybe Orientals. But that is just personal taste.

I happen to think black women are very pretty, if they are indeed pretty.

What drives me nuts are women who can't except the fact that they are not pretty, and they try to convince themselves that they are. And they go over board trying to get a man to take notice of them.

Race & color have nothing to do with looks. Some of the most beautiful women in the world are brown skinned, and for me, the darker the better!

Its quite absurd to say that, I personally find black girls quite attractive. Obviousally there are some unattractive and attactive black girls but to say they are most least desirable is quite wrong. I have never personally been with a black girl but I certinely wouldn't mind being with one. There are some black girls who are soo rude, loud and abnoxious which ruins the reputation for all black girls.

I agree with OceanLover. about 90% of the black chicks in my old high school act like a stereotypical ghetto bitch. they crowded the middle of the hall so they blocked everyone , thinking for some reason they should be treated like royalty as they walked around yelling and screaming with a XL cheeto's bag in their hand. most of them had an attitude towards me and others for really no reason.

however I've met some really cool black chicks who were nice and sexy and had awesome personalities and even liked one before but didn't ask her out because I was about to graduate so there was no point. lol.

ill tell you why I'm not attracted to them.. and it all boils down to attitude..and I'm not saying you have the attitude, but most of the black women I have encountered do have it.  I mean they are loud, they always want the center of attention, they are annoying.  And again IM not saying ur that way.  But that's what I see. Well, to me, it's about classy, feminine and sexy.

And while the sexy part is deffinitely there;)), the lack of class is a turn-off, as well as being agressive, since guys mostly don't want to be dominated by a woman.

As example: probably every single white male on the planet thinks Whitney Houston (at least before the whole drug thing) was an incredibly hot and attractive Goddess, and that woman from "I love New York" (don't know her name) - not so much.

The main differnce: abundance of femininity and class in Whitney's behavour, and in the second - not so much.

Here's the short version. Controlled mass media forced influential imagery. Positive for White women and negative for black and other women of color (Asian, mid eastern, Native American, Latina, black Hispanic). Black women are not less desirable. Just the most negatively represented and and portrayed and for the longest time. White women? The exact opposite in grey sense. Brainwashing media and of positive and negative imagery. It works. Until you become aware and start unwashing your brain.

Turning of the TV and away from social media and spending more time with real world people is a great start to unwashing your brain. Everyone had been affected and it's not the publics fault.

I've heard that black guys don't go for black women either. I go to a predominantly black school in Detroit and there are PLENTY of good looking and intelligent black girls in my school (I DO go to a nerd school, whatyda expect? Lol) but the guys in my school never go for their own race. They might "mess" with them for sex and such but they're never in relationships with them. Most, if not all black guys in my school mess around with black girls but they always seem to be dating Mexicans or people of my race which is Bengali. I think it's because even though these girls clearly get good grades, they're too promiscuous which may be a turn on in bed but mostly a turnoff because I don't think anyone wants to date a slutty girl.

Plus, some of the black guys in my school claim that black girls are nag too much and are too "ghetto".

Nothing intrinsically. Unfortunately, a lot of black women tend to come from less privileged backgrounds. This can lead to poor eating/hygeine habits, low levels of education, etc. Since it's quite clear that *none* of this applies to you, there could be some mild bigotry on the parts of some men.

I think some of it also has to do with media portrayal.

many white people face retribution from very old-fashioned parents if they date a black person- my friend was just kicked out of her house for dating a black man (he wasn't black, it was her black friend, her boyfriend was mexican, but her parents freaked out.) But a white person faces many, many possible punishments from their family and from the older generations if they try to date a black woman.

Personally, I haven't found many black women with whom I do activities with- I like to ice skate, play hockey, fence, and go running, and there simply aren't many black women in those activities to even meet.

I think I'll choose to remain anonymous, more for my girlfriend's sake, but I have a theory about that (why darker skin is generally taken as less-than desirable). It isn't necessrily anything that black girls "do," or "don't do." I'm a 27 year old white man...primarily...but if you plan on looking at genetix specifics, I'm also very very native American.

Anyway, if you look at the mainstream media, for example, take the precedence of Asians. There are some Asians portrayed, but they are always, always very, very white (Northern). It's unlikely to see a southern Asian, unless they are especially white for their nationality.

The theory is that "the god of this age blinds the minds of unbelievers (the majority)." (2 Corinthians 4:4) It's the very same deception that Hitler fell under...Jesus was very likely of a darker skin-tone.

My girlfriend is a south Asian and I personally think she's the most beautiful thing in the world.

I'm from one of the five boroughs of NYC and it is very multiracial around here. I was the oppisate in the school situation, most of my school was black.

But some STEROTYPES as to why guys say black girls are undesirable:

-unedcuated

-loud

-body type

-"nappy" hair

-facial features

-live in the "ghetto", and talk "ghetto"

Many white males were always surrounded by white people, and bringing home a black girl is unacceptable in many homes, so that right there, I believe, is the main reason why black girls are least desirable. There may be a chance that they find a black girl attractive, but its taboo in there home and society to like a black girl , so they never act on it.

If you live an a white neighborhood, and go to a white school, then you have a much higher chance of being seen as desirable, because in some sense you are "white " if you live amoung them and go to school with them.

that's not true at all! its not even with the media. Halle Berry is a black African American woman and is said to be one of the most beautiful women alive. Beyonce? Gabrielle Union? There's a list. You have your attractive and non-attractive women in all races (white, latino, chinese, etc.). People think the way they do about African Americans because of what they have been taught. Ex. (not speaking for all) In the white community they're told "Black women are angry, controlling, and very aggressive" NOT TRUE! In the Black community we're taught "White women are sneaky, easy, and weak" NOT TRUE! I understand where you are coming from. The media has declared that white women are the ideal. That every culture should aspire to be like them such as having long hair, light skin etc. If you ever ask a guy about which celebrities they think are hot, they can name twenty none stop and maybe one name will be a black women. Ok, the media picks out some skinny white girl for every one to idolize and puts her up on EVERY THING with the labile that she is perfect. It is a proven fact the people as a whole are easily brain washed by media so they begin to believe this is true beauty, well its not. I think this a a good way to find a man who has a mind of his own. If he thinks you have to look a certain way then he is just as superficial as the skinny fake model. You want a guy who will see you for you and not some carbonated copy of misses plastic photoshop. So just I just look at it this way, it separates the men from the superficial air heads. In reference to the comment posted by "thelittlethings", not all black women (or black people in general) are loud and common. And black people aren't the only people saying "exactly what they think without thinking about it"... (? a little oxymoron-ish).

To answer your question... there is NOTHING unattractive about black women. It seems that you may have an issue with yourself, but you should know that BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL. Black women are naturally blessed with traits that white women PAY to have done cosmetically: full lips, big breasts, big butts, tanned skin, the list goes on...

Please stop judging yourself based on what you think are "regular beauty standards". Know and love yourself by your own standards and you will have no problem finding a man that will love you too. Good luck!

its rare I post up my view points online but this is a must. I find that latin, middle eastern and north African women are the most beautiful races by far in terms of hair type, NATURAL caramel/brown tone, features, shape and NOT UGLY FINGERS AND TOES cough. I honestly love ALL people but I can never get myself to ever be attracted to black women. I know its wrong but I just can not. I feel the only black women I can date and have found attractive are the mixed raced either being half asian or half white. mixed raced with white/brown can be very attractive which the main features I found juicy were the 'thick thighs thin waist' or with light skin ones to have unique features. but in comparison to middle eastern and latin women? I personally think NOT A CHANCE. my mother always told me that every race is beautiful and blessed in their own ways. I just did not seem to find it within full race black women.

I dated a black girl and it was one hell of a ride (although the relationship went sour). When I meet guys they usually are like I've never been with a black girl before. I find it less common now that I'm older. The ratio of good looking black girls or athelic in size is few and far between where I come from. I think that if you are a black and female you have to keep up with being thin and being pretty. that's just how I see things here.

I feel exactly the same way you feel- I thought it was just me! cause my sister is black but she's soo light people think she's mixed race. I don'y know why but if it helps I have always gone out with white boys mainly cause they are so many in my area but I think the reason why black girls get all these negative publicity is because we are seen as large, big boobed, rude and loud and really heavily opinoinated with some ghetto attitude. I think it media and everything like films and even magazines-not sounding harsh but I hardly see a black women in the magazines I read and when I do they look out of place? and I can't really name a lot of celebrities who are like 'african' not mixed, I think that's why I feel alittle worried when it comes to guys but hey, I have a boyfriends currently who's a ski instructer and he's white

I have found many black girls attractive, but since I'm very white and nerdy I always have a feeling a black guy is going to kick my @$$ just for talking to a black girl so I haven't ever bothered

I just do not find black girls physically attractive. Granted, looks are only one part of the equation, but they are an important one. Also, most of the black girls I know came from very broken families and had a lot of hangups. I want a girl that is stable and the vast majority of the black girls I've run into, haven't had that key issue. Combined with my preference for white girls from a physical standpoint, it is just the way I think.

well Black women aren't uglier than any other race and people who claims so are brainwashed and or racist. the reason we're mistreated is because many of us (in the new world anyway) are descendants of slaves and people think that this makes us less than. I also would like to remind you that we were brought to the United States and Latin America FOR LABOR, to toil and this racist society will never acknowledge our beauty or give us credit for having features that are desired by others races full lips, dark skin, voluptuous bodies, luscious voices, diverse beauty etc...they will never give credit, they'll throw up a J. Lo or Kim Kardashian or an Adele and call it a day...so just accept this and it will life the burden off of your shoulders you can't change people. I would recommend only going around people who value you, go outside the United States, especially to Latin American like Northern brazil or Africa and you'll find that your beauty is appreciated.
