This is a hard topic for me but when I talked to some religious people this is how it went.

I don't care about making questions of personal responsibility legal/illegal, I just care when I have to pay for it. I don't want to fucking pay for someone's mistake. As for the morality, yeah it's a pretty sad reality that we kill unborn children under the excuse that "they're not people yet". The best way to end abortion is to create a culture that is anti-abortion again instead of this dumb shit we have now that says women can just kill anyone because it's their choice.
At the moment of legal abortion, there's no baby, just a bean sized blob of cells without developed nerve system, without conscience.
thats what atheism did to humanity. it dumbed it down. babies have conscience before the development of a brain and sensory organs. and experiences from this period follow them to their whole life. how that happens? beause it has a soul.

not exactly. there can be no direct proofs of it cause its made from vey subtle "matter" compared to our 3d realm. but we can know it though its energies and actions. infants have been found to remember things from the first three months of their lives, and be affected by them. also when someone's heart and brain both fail, he is still not dead. death is a mystery ontologically as is life.
and its also clearely felt and understood by spiritual advancement but lets not thread in such uknown realms. both for you and for me.

you are talking to me about souls right now. that alone is proof we are 3rd level conscious beings with existential inquiries and worries, definitely a sub-effective pursuit if we were a product of evolution that only cares about survival of the fittest and perpetuation of the species. serious scientists claim that the human brain would need over 10 billion years to be developed by random evolution. and even then it couldnt provide consciousness on its own. plus the examples i told you. real death is neither heart or brain failure. the soul spreads thoughout the human body. it also leaves an inprint. there is been recorded cases like that of a man that got a heart transfer surgery, and while he was completely against art and reading before, totally handicap towards it, he developed an aptitude for poetry like the previous owner of the heart had.

oh its more consistent than you believe. because what you ask for is irrational. you will never get physical proof of it like you find for an artery. its like God you understand it from its indirect energies not its essense. it is material compared to God but compared to the realm your senses currently perceived it is immaterial. or "of a very subtle matter" as the church fathers call it. the greatest proof of the soul comes with your personal spiritual development. those who become more sanctified share more traits with God than the material realm thats why in the holy tradion saints were gifted with supernatural gifts like bilocality, seeing through walls like they are not there, talking to foreigners in their mother language and still being understood, etc etc. the soul radiates a certain light as well. not the blue divine light the orthodox ascetics were seeing but a light of its own. if you never decide to thread that path there is no meaning discussing the soul... .

not a preacher just speaking about reality. you have fragments of truth in you as well and are an inquiring mind. i guess at some point in your life had a bad experience with christianity that's why began to search for rebutals and constituted a certain polemic against it. its not hard to find God, bro... . I could completely agree with you, and if was in a relationship and the woman killed the fetus because it "got in the way" of her life I would leave her immediately. I think a child is a gift and you should try to have it if you can.
