I did insanity start to finish. it is INTENSE! it is not for the weak of mind that is for sure. at the beginning i could barely do a pushup... at the end i could do about 40. i was stronger and i felt better. the workout get really long (like 86mins) with very short minimal breaks. most of the first month videos are 40 mins though but it is straight up constant cardio which is very difficult and you sweat buckets. it was so intense that a couple of my workouts i vomited halfway through then went back and finished the rest. id say my abdomen was more defined after but not to a huge extent. i was not at all overweight to begin with but if i did have weight to lose, guaranteed i would have lost it. I had my sister and brother in law try the FIT TEST which is only 25 mins and they quit after 15mins and couldnt take it. my mom tried a workout and refused to do anymore and i know someone who quit after the first month. my friend was going to do it and quit after a week. you have to be a very determined and self motivated person to complete it but if you are, i highly suggest it. i definitely think i will be doing it again.

My mom did it for about 1 week and then threw in the towel. Plus i get enough exercise for dance practices i compete on a team and perform so i don't need any more, dancing is a fun way to exercise.
Lmao I hear you get a tee that says i survived insanity if you finish?
yea twice. in 2010 i did it but gave up after the first week of the 2nd month because i was feeling like i had type 1 diabetes when i got there. i try doing it again in 2011 and got a herniated disk from it.
my advice is stay away from that workout unless you are a true pro. i mean i think Shaun T himself said once that he Insanity is really not a workout but more like a challenge. he design it for those who already been working for such a while now and got their best results but would like to take those result even higher.
anyways, coincidentally i am currently doing Focus T25 right now and its a lot better. though its almost as hard as Insanity its a lot shorter and the moves are modifiable. plus it aims better at weight loss. i am currently in the last month and i already lost 20 lbs and i started on doing it this past February
Don't listen to all the nay-sayers! My brother got all the dvd's and watches them ritually every morning when he wakes up. It's been a year now and he is such a bad ass, completely toned and fit. Thing is most people don't have the discipline or motivation to do any programs that benefit them. I leave you with this quote by Aristotle:
“We are what we repeatedly do, Could the young but realize how soon they will become mere walking bundles of habits, they would give more heed to their conduct while in the plastic state,”

I really have been meaning to try it out but chances of 2 risks keep me away from it owing to age factor
1. Heart Attack
2. Injury (flexibility certainly isn't as good as when I was in my 20s though I gym)I tried it. Felt like my heart was going to burst out of my rib cage. I know I'm overweight. But I'll try another method. Not worth the feeling of dying.
don't bother if you live in an Apt. complex and have sensitive downstairs neighbor lol. Got tired of hearing the complaints and just got a gym membership.
I tried it for the first 5 minutes and almost died.
Then I looked at the box, and it said "Warmup video"I did a one inch gain full around on my arms it took 4-6 hours of non stop work lots of pills, supplements I projectile vomited one dozen times no joke but after a couple of days I gained all around 1 inch thickness on my arms.
I think one should first build their endurance, and stamina. And then focus on these kinds of workouts. I don't think i could do it off the bat right now.
I tried it, and i stopped did not finish. You can't have ANY back issues with that workout
I was a month in but was not able to finish it but as far as I got there were results and eventually you're able to keep up with the videos.
I thought about it but then I remembered that I don't like being told what to do. ;)
Did it a few times, was a little too intense for me. I don't think it's for beginners haha.
I have a better workout, go outside and plant a garden.for real
Not really my jazz
