He thinks I'm too rich?

I really like this guy and we hang out a lot at his house but I ask him to come over and he wont. He says he won't fit in, I explained to him that he would and there's nothing to worry about. I can hang out at his house but he won't ever fall for me if he just thinks there's to big of a barrier between our classes. I've tried talking about it with him but he doesn't change his mind, is there some way to show him that although were in different neighborhoods that we can mesh together and be happy in a relationship. help please, I really care about him and as of now were friends but I want more and there's attraction between us we do things sometimes but how can I erase the gap that prevents our relationship?

what are these classes? what makes him feel inadequate? is it the money or the people? Why do you think he would be intimidated/ feel like he doesn't fit in? Try to get into his head... it's easier to solve the problem taht way.

He thinks he doesn't have enough money to go hang out at my house. when I say classed I mean that I live in a very nice neighbor hood and he lives in well the ghetto that doesn't bother me but it bothers him.

Would you say it's more of a self esteem issue? of pride?

I really don't know what type of issue it was, maybe a little of both because he likes to show off and he wants to be the one to be able to open opportunities up for you but I think maybe he feels like he cant?

It seems that it's more of a pride thing. Men are designed with the mentality that we have to provide for the women. It's deep down in our core "programming" if you will.When he sees all these "higher class" people, it kind of hurts his pride, he may be thinking things like "how do I compete with this? I can't give her all this!" so on and so forth. He sees it and basically feels inferior in that he might not be able to provide you with all the "amenities" you might be use to.

The fact that his pride might be hurt could also lead to a self esteem thing where he feels he's not good enough for you, etc... Basically, the different classes might make him feel that he's not good enough, he can't provide for you what you need. If this is teh case, I would suggest maybe easing himself into your 'world'. Maybe introduce him to one or two people first so he can get comftorble with them. Make sure he KNOWS you don't need all this stuff and that you're happy with him.

Easy.. If you too rich, you simply have to give him half of your money, and then he won't feel so bad about it. OR, you could donate most of your money to the poor, and then he'll feel more at ome with you init?
