5 bites of whatever for lunch
5 bites of whatever for dinner
vitamins, diet pills, and lots of water.
It might lose you weight, but unless you live your life like that, it probably will come back as soon as you stop. The only real way to change your weight is to change your life style- and this just doesn't seem like a change you can keep up.
A regular diet of simply watching calorie intake a bit, (meaning be conscious, not paranoid,) and a workout regimen you can keep is about all you can do to keep them away permanently.
And yes, even if you are currently doing workouts, they may not be enough. (And, to be honest, running isn't the best calorie burner, despite what others might say. Of course, everyone is different. If the workout makes you feel like you are starving later in the day, then it is probably working.)
As a side note, most people seem oblivious to this, but in starving yourself, your body naturally puts on weight. It stores extra calories as a 'famine' response. Meaning- if you don't have a lot to eat, and you suddenly get food... your body tries to hold onto as much as possible, in case you can't eat again later on. "But this isn't /starving/ myself!" ... ... five bites per meal, minus breakfast? Starving in my book.
I live a pretty healthy life style. I just can't lose anything. I don't eat much anyways so I don't feel too hungry. I do know about that last paragraph, but I can't help but try anything.
Your body is genetically programmed to be a certain way, there likely isn't anything wrong with you. In my family, almost all the men are short (and I mean around 5' 5" and below short.) But also very strongly built, usually stocky, if not outright overweight.
And... sometimes there are outliers, like me. I am a bit over 6', (tallest in my immediate family) thin, wiry, and really don't build muscle no matter how much I exercise. (And eat. Love to eat.)
It isn't like they are any worse off, one of my brothers was second in state wrestling, and a state champion in cross country. Its just how their bodies are built.
At our age we are naturally self conscious, I am a bit, and >I< have no close friends in state, literally. The advice I offer is to learn to be comfortable with who you are, instead of trying to force yourself to fit what others want.
): :/
Sorry, but that is how it is sometimes. Unless you want to really take on a major life change, there is no quick-fix to weight that is sticking. Not saying you can't, it is just that most people don't keep such commitments very well.
Seems like yet another silly take on trying to lose weight, when it is already known how a person must eat in order to lose weight. I wish these new-age exercise or dieting gurus would quit preying on people's sense of desperation, so those people can actually learn how to make some progress.
Listen to me! This is very important.
Diet fads DO NOT work. If all these diet fads worked then why is everyone still struggling with weight? They don't work.
Our bodies need nourishment to function properly. Especially since you're under 18. You're still growing and developing, especially your brain! If you want to lose weight, first ask yourself if you're truly overweight. There's tons of girls out there who are healthy and are trying to lose weight when they don't need to.
If you are truly overweight, all you have to do is eat right- eat the right thing, in the right amounts. Don't binge on anything. Just eat a few meals a day. If they're balanced and healthy, you're golden. No sugary cereals, sodas, lunchables, ramen, sweets, etc.
And exercise. You have to be active. I think they recommend one hour of physical activity a day, at the least. You can walk or jog or ride a bike or jump rope etc etc.
Don't take ANY diet pills. So many girls have gotten themselves sick with them.
10 bites of food a day is not a diet, it's stupidity.
stupidity that works.
And when people loose weight in those fucked up ways, they usually end up lookin like crack heads. The ones who lose it healthily usually look sexy slim in a healthy way after.
If I'm fat and looking to loose weight, I'd much rather it take longer and I look good, than it take too quick and I look like I'm on drugs, sick or a crack head.
There's a reason bulimics and anorexics look like that you know. They don't look good, they look like they are on something. What's the point going from fat to an ugly skinny, when you can get a nice looking slim figure instead.
I'm not planning on doing this for more that two or three weeks.
Personally, I'd do two weeks max. But it won't work if you eat bad food after and don't work out, you'll just put it back on plus more if you don't maintain, that's the main reason crash diets don't work for most. My friend lost a lot of weight kinda fast- she ate whenever she was hungry but only vegetables, and sometimes fruit (but fruit has natural sugars in) and she drank a lot of water. She always did crash diets, but didn't work out, but this one really worked for her and she kept it up so is still losing weight now.
Also, some of my Muslim friends lose weight during Ramadan when they fast. They have a big meal when they break fasts but still lose weight if they don't make that big meal a ton of junk.
But really, especially at your age I wouldn't recommend these kinds of crash diets because they can wreak havoc with your body sometimes. 2 weeks probably wouldn't do much, but still.
Also, instead of diet pills, maybe use all vitamin supplements if you do this so you won't lack
Okay :/ thanks

Good lord, that sounds incredibly unhealthy. You know the thing that gets me most about fad diets like this? We take food for granted; because we have so much of it readily available, we never know what it is like to go hungry or see what havoc nutrient deficiencies can wreck on the lives of our loved ones. There are people all over the world who would kill to have the food we have, who fight for survival and think it's a luxury when they go to bed on a full stomach.
And here we are, tossing that away like it's nothing. I'm not against being healthy, but you won't get healthy by going on a diet. Change your lifestyle, make healthier food choices, work out - just don't treat food like something evil that needs to be controlled and curbed.
Eat from a 5 inch bowl 4 times a day and this is what you should eat
a) a deck of card's size portion of meat
b) 2 portions of vegetables
c) 1 portion of carbohydrate such as pasta / rice / potatoes / bread
Do this every day and you will be thin without working a single day in the gym. My doctor does this and he is in his 60's and still as slim as ever.
Dieting's a waste, your body needs food for optimal functioning, if you want to look in shape try running 1-2 miles a day, it'll have the same effect as your diet regimen above.
I do that almost every day, along with three hours of brazillian jui jitsu. Hasn't done anything :/
Sounds gay to me. Complete pseudoscience. Read packets nutritional info and total your intake, match it against what you need for you body weight and exercise to burn of XYZ amount. That's it.
I don't think this is healthy at all , Unless you're trying to loose weight by starving. I recommend trying something that's used by most people like Making macros and sticking to it.
That sounds silly, just eat 1200 calories a day and try to exercise as much as possible
That's really stupid.
If you want to crash diet at least so something that makes sense like a protein sparing modified fast.
Seems quite unhealthy.
Weight is lost quite simply: exercise and eating right. What differs is how long it takes for each person.
Sounds unhealthy and extremely dangerous. Try the Paleo Lifestyle. it's all about eating natural, unprocessed foods like we were meant to do. I promise it will work for you.
It's hard to do that when you don't have money or authority to live like that :/
That's just not healthy at all for someone who is under 18. You need all the nutrition you can get to grow properly.
No, but I have done a water fast.
did it work?
I didn't do it for weight loss purposes, but yeah I lost quite a bit of weight. Most people loose around 1 or 2lbs a day.
I'm bulking yo...
