You shouldn't be so concerned with pounds at all. BMI charts are extremely generic and not very accurate because they don't take into account huge factors like a person's natural bone structure or the amount of muscle mass they have. Someone who is physically fit and muscular could very well be "overweight" on a BMI chart, but in reality he or she will feel healthier and look slimmer than someone who weighs 10 lbs less but is all untoned flab. Losing inches is far better than just losing pounds, because it means the shape of your body is actually changing. You could lose 5 pounds of water weight and no one would notice the difference, but lose 2 pounds of fat that results in 1 inch off your hips and you could drop an entire dress size.
The best diet I've ever been on is the South Beach Diet, and actually I have made it such a permanent aspect of my eating habits that I doubt I will ever try fad dieting again. It is all about reducing fat and empty carb intake, and is probably the least restricted or deprived I've ever felt while on a diet. More importantly, it really does work and it works fast. You will feel and look visibly thinner and healthier within the first week or two. It does require a bit of cooking and planning your meals ahead but the nice thing is that there are so many free recipes and articles on the Internet that you don't need to pay a dime on the books or ready-made meals if you don't want to. It's probably the only diet I would really recommend for healthy, permanent weight loss.

the less pounds you need to lose, the longer/more effort it takes to lose them. a person who is severely over-weight will drop significantly more pounds a week than a person who is only moderately over weight or not even over weight at all. considering you are only about 10 pounds over weight you are going to have to try a lot harder than someone who is 40-50 lbs over weight. just stick to a healthy diet; always eat breakfast, eat 3-4 snacks throughout the day every 3 to 4 hours, and keep your meal small. think of it as a lifestyle change rather than a diet. I know this first hand because I recently lost a lot of weight by doing this. and istead of going to the gym I just did work outs at home and looked up some good ones online for the areas I wanted to tone up the most. also drink a lot of water; 8 glasses a day is ideal, which is 4 bottles of water.
hope I helped. it takes a lot of work and you have to really want it to be able to do it, I know I started and stopped many times before I stuck with it and finally lost all the weight. its definitely worth it in the long run.
good luck (:
Unfortunately, the area around your waist is always the hardest to lose. But it takes a combination of working out your stomach muscles, aerobic exercises to burn calories, and eating healthy and drinking lots of water to battle the actual fat over the muscles. The key is to keep going to the gym and stay consistent. You don't need to exercise 20 hours a week. But if you go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week for an hour, and do aerobic exercises along with exercises that work the stomach and waist area. Make sure you do lots of stretches that hit those target areas as well. And eat healthy and drink lots of water and stick with it, and you will see results
Is that you in your profile pic? If it is you're really pretty and look to be a fine weight, you have nothing to worry about.
The BMI chart is an outdated, inaccurate load of bullsh*t anyway, according to that thing I'm 30 pounds overweight but I have a medium build and don't think there is anyhting wrong with my body.
So don't listen to it.
