Given your age I would probably not go full on no-carb. I've personally had good results going no-carb, but it is a more extreme diet. You're 14, you may not be done growing yet, and I wouldn't want to see you take on an extreme diet at your age.
- cut junk food to NEAR zero. Try to limit unhealthy eating to say twice a month, and don't see how much you can stuff in your mouth on those occasions. When they come up (and often they may be tied to events, someone's birthday, whatever) enjoy, eat unhealthy stuff in moderation, and ENJOY it.
- Cut refined carbs way back, but keep low glycemic carbs in your diet, especially earlier in the day (maybe cut them out at dinner).
- Eat lots of fruit and vegetables.
- Lean meat, fish, eggs are your friends. So is plain greek yogurt.
- start exercising. You will, if you're like me, rarely feel like exercising, but if you do exercise, you will overall be less tired. Resistance work is really helpful - bodyweight exercises would be fine, a few times a week. If you prefer, you could get a hold of a kettlebell or something like that. A fairly heavy one. You can ask me (or others) for exercise suggestions. Resistance work is really useful because it will help your body prioritize keeping muscle while burning fat. That keeps (or will build, or eventually reveal) your shape, and also keep your metabolism higher so you keep burning up calories. Dieters who do heavy resistance work tend to lose more weight.
- Examine triggers you have for unhealthy eating. I'm guessing you maybe eat when stressed, or eat to feel better, and likely go for pretty unhealthy food when that's the case? You will need to find new ways to cope with stress or feeling tired or down. For some people that's a walk, for others exercise, for others making themselves a cup of looseleaf green tea (no sugar! :D) (why looseleaf? I think taking the time and effort to make yourself something extra good is mentally good for you), etc.

okay don't cut out carbs, definitely cut out junk food. go on a ALL NATURAL FOODS DIET. this basically means anything that fell off a tree or grew from the ground you can eat. AVOID PROCESSED FOODS, this means chips, sauces like ketchup, bread. There are some exceptions like wheat bread but eat it in moderation, don't overeat anything.
when you eat on a natural foods diet try to get your protein, complex carbs requirements. simply eat some type of lean meats, chicken, turkey, fish and then eat leafy greens with them like spinach, kale, chards, and a sweet potato or wild rice, quinoa, brown rice.
if you change your diet then you will lose weight, but also don't overeat, then when you are used to the diet, implement daily exercise into your schedule, start slowly and work at your own pace, you don't want to go so hard that you'll wanna give up the first day. build up to it and then once you see results within the next month or 2 then that will be all the motivation you need to keep it up!
Hey I'm 14 too and I want to lose 6 pounds :) anyway drink more water and eat stuff with high water content like fruits, especially watermelon (soda and junk doesn't count), it makes you feel full and the water flushes out your toxins so you'll get really pretty skin. Try to eat less processed food cos the manufacturers put a lot of crap in it to make it taste better. Also, what I do is eat only half or two thirds of the amount I would like to eat and you actually can eat some junk food in moderation once a month. But don't binge eat, it's hard to stop once you start. When you get a craving for junk food, get a huge fruit salad ( cherry tomato, strawberry, watermelon, apple, lettuce) and chuck it down, it will make you super full so u don't feel like eating and it's heathy and tastes good too.
it may seem really hard at first but as long as you stick to it for at least 3 weeks, it will become a habit and not seem so terrible. Good luck :D
You shouldn't give up carbs they're a source of fuel, you have to eat a balanced diet and eat lots of protein. Is there a gym near your school? If there is you should join, I have a gym 2 blocks from my school so I can walk there everyday after school which really motivates me to go. Losing weight is really 80% diet and 20% exercise. Cut back (but don't eliminate) carbs, start by jogging/walking (it doesn't have to be far even just a mile or half a mile) and definitely try yoga!

Having a balanced diet always helps. Also, try taking the stairs instead of an elevator when you can. Walk more often and try to develop your own exercise regimen (with or without weight lifting). You can also try yoga. That can sometimes help distress and burn calories simultaneously.
cutting out junk food is the best start. also any unnatural sugars in your diets so candy, soda, chips, cookies, cakes, desserts, etc.
cutting out carbs or at least cutting down OR at least going to whole wheats and things like that would help
eat more veggies, particularly green ones, maybe start making yourself veggie smoothies (basically kale and/or spinach with some fresh fruit and maybe a little natural fruit juice, blended with ice)200+ pounds? Wow girl, please go for a daily run.
