PMS is common. You can see a gynecologist or a holistic physician who can make metabolic and physical studies to determine any possible physical imbalance such as low iron, hypothyroidism, or blood sugar problem. You should be able to locate low-cost or free counseling through mental health services through your city or county offices or a nearby university.
Meanwhile, consider yoga or learn proper meditation techniques. If you cannot join a group you can lean these skills on the web. Avoiding alcohol, getting exercise, a good diet, and enough sleep might help. Finally, note that Queen Victoria is said to have smoked marijuana to deal with her PMS.

To become very emotional isn't at all uncommon, but to become suicidal is unusual. Do you feel there might be other factors causing you to feel suicidal? Perhaps you should discuss this with a professional.
I normally feel sort of suicidal and I have depression, but my depression and suicidal feelings are worsened during PMS. I have a really short cycle (21 days normally) and I hate it. I have thoughts of suicide when I'm not on PMS but during PMS I actually almost convince myself to do it… It's horrible.
I feel the same way. I think we may have PMDD. Google it
