Well I gave you advice the first time and yeahhh if she really didn't ask much or do anything I would try getting a second opinion on it or check with your family doctor and make sure you explain everything and say you're wondering if you possibly strained your neck or anything or if you are having any health problems such as low vitamins or high blood pressure who knows all I know is when I had the same type of problem with the pain from my neck it normally ran up close to my ears especially when I would lift weights. I went to the doctors I did some blood work vitamins were fine, blood pressure was a little high but that was due to being sick and yeah found out it was a strain that I didn't really notice that bad. Went to physio and it's all handled.
I mean did she even ask what kind of lifting your doing or what you should or shouldn't do? Because if she didn't even give you advice about what to do or not do and just gave you those pills I'd go for a second opinion from another doctor forsure.

Make sure you are hydrated before starting, also the cause could be dips in blood sugar so eat a little protein, fat and carbs like whole-grain rice cake so something about an hour before you exercise.
It's also essential to prepare your muscles for a workout.
If that doesn't help and you don't have any high blood pressure issues, then you might have migraine as exercise can be a migraine trigger.

Have you considered the possibility that you maybe have put your back or neck out while exercising? You might want to go to a chiropractor.
