There are some very basic nutritional and exercise principles you need to understand before you try anything. One, weight is determined entirely by how many calories you eat. If you eat more calories than your body uses then you gain weight, if you eat less calories than your body uses then you will lose weight. Two, you cannot choose what parts of your body gain or lose weight. You can either lose weight everywhere on your body or gain weight everywhere on your body. The way the body distributes fat is genetic. Three, in order to gain muscle you need to eat more calories than your body loses. You can't gain muscle if your body doesn't have enough calories to grow, it's just physics.
So, in order to make your thighs bigger you would have to eat more calories than you expend and do thigh exercises, like squats and romanian deadlifts. You are going to gain some weight on the rest of your body as well, but once your thighs are bigger you can cut back on the calories and lose the fat while keeping the new thigh muscle. If you are going to do this you are going to need to eat plenty of carbs for energy and proteins to build the muscle.01 Reply

+1 yThe only way to deliberately gain weight in a targeted area is to eat at a calorie surplus while doing weight training that targets that area. You will gain weight all over your body, however. After 8-12 weeks of this, you then switch to losing weight, and after you lose the fat you gained all over your body, you will retain the muscle mass you added in that body part. This is really the only way to add "shape" to your body. However, there's more to it than that when you're a beginner. It can be unsafe to only train specific body parts rather than your whole body because muscle imbalances can lead to joint and back problems. Basically, there is no simple answer to this. It can be done, but it's going to take time and work and alternating through periods of muscle gain and fat loss (they can't happen simultaneously unfortunately).

Asker+1 yThank you! Are there any foods your aware of that may help?

well high fiber carbs, such as yams, oatmeal, brown rice are what athletes generally use after workouts for weight gaining. I recommend adding a lean meat into your diet as well to make sure you have enough protein
Asker+1 ythank you! really helped. :)

Okay seriously if your worried about the physical size of your thighs and your not a competing bodybuilder then you need a hobby, instead of looking at your thighs which are probably perfect to any guy already why not spend the time learning about something or going out and experiencing life, not looking down at your lap lol

Wow, that was very wisely stated. Looks like I don't need to post an opinion on this topic!
Asker+1 ythats the problem with gag. at least somebody has to look at something in a total different way. are you trying to say you never notice your body? i do enjoy life for your information. I just want a body that'll make me feel sexier. not make other people think i look sexy but ME, i'm not doing it for any guy i m doing it for MYSELF
Asker+1 yone centimeter does make a difference. and i'm not obsessing over my thighs. i'm not continuously doing squats and eating all the carbs i can get my hands on. it's just something i wouldn't mind having... like a chocolate bar. not really that big of a deal.

I doubt adding a cm to your thigh will make you feel sexy though do you know what im saying? After you accomplish that you might be thinking "well maybe if my upper arms was bigger than my forearm, it would be like chasing a pot of gold, sexy is a state of mind, if you do sexy things such as wearing lingerie, sexy dancing, bubble bath etc you are going to FEEL sexy, not when you change your body on minute levels, in my opinion anyways
Asker+1 yI'm satisfied with my arms and the centimeter would make me happier then i already am. And your doubts dont exactly matter because i know the centimeter will.
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yOh God I dunno. There seems to be some bullshit hip hop culture around "thick" women being more desirable. You're more than likely FINE HOW YOU ARE. In the grand scheme of the life challenge that faces us all, you worry that some fools won't like you because your thighs ain't phat enough. I despair sometime.
Ice cream and squats.03 Reply
Asker+1 yI'm not doing it so "fools" like me. I'm doing it because i want it.
Opinion Owner+1 yIf this was the 90's where thin was the trend you more than likely would be over the moon with how you lucked out genetically, people would be admiring your trim physique and you'd be happy. You could look at what guys do to gain mass in the legs, but it's pretty hard for young girls to gain muscle unless their hormones are biased that way. It's time, effort, money and if you don't get results you'll end up feeling worse about yourself.
Asker+1 yPeople already admire my physique. Like i said i'm doing it for myself not others, and i am happy with my body. the increase in my thighs would just make ma happier
+1 yStupid men. It's not about you and your freakish skeleton fetish. It's about a girl who wants to gain some volume in her thighs.

Asker+1 yI'm perfectly satisfied with my general figure i just want my thighs to be a little bit bigger. I want absolutely nothing else to change.
Personally, I think skinny (but not bony) thighs are better.
My thighs are kind of thick (but muscular) for a guy, and I don't really like it.02 Reply
Asker+1 ybut mine are too skinny and i don't want them to be huge. i just want them bigger by like a centimeter
