All the supplements are total bullshit, most workout programs and diets are utter shit. Personal training is a waste of money and time.
Even drug dealers and killers don't do that.
It depends.
Some programs/types of training are. For example: Bodybuilding was built on steroid use and mis-information. Im not trying to knock people who do it I'm just saying that people need to see it for what it is. Its kind of like when the wheel was first invented.. and now we are driving cars. We learned from it. But it is obsolete.
Diet works and exercise work if you work it. Goal is dependent. All of what you are saying is subjective. I've personally trained for a few years. I have no Cirts. There BS. I have trained a friend who went to the para-olympics. Helped him lose around 32 lbs in just over a month. He has great work ethic and as long as he is participating in an intense program that is well rounded he will improve. Attitude is a big part of it.
I totally agree with you. The proof for me is in the effects my efforts have brought me. I can't really deny that.
There is definitely a lot of bullshit. What is true is that working out and dieting get you results, so as long as someone is smart and constantly scanning for credible information, they'll do just fine. It's when they want a quick fix or get emotionally desperate about results that they become a potential victim of abuse.
I wouldn't call PTs bullshitters. There are some who are excellent, but there are certainly a lot of ineffective trainers out there.
But supplements? Likely criminal.
I think it's prostitution/ sex slavery the fitness industry doesn't even compete to that and there is good information out there if you look for it
I disagree, it's the same as with drugs, everyone knows it's bad and shit.
I mean dirty as deceitful. There's nothing deceitful in prostitution.
You should read the additional details too, not just the question.
Oh I do disagree the whole business of sex slaves is based around most clients not being able to tell if she is forced to do it or not. It's based telling young girls lies about a better world and then locking them up, drugging them, beating them and having them raped everyday
If you think fitness is the dirtiest industry on earth (ever heard of blood diamonds?) or even in the US, you're very naive or just stupid. Pick one.
Might as well say weapons industry is the dirtiest business.
It's not, everyone (or at least most) know it's bad, and it's mostly underground shit. The same with sex slavery (which is actually an incredibly rare form of prostitution), blood diamonds etc.
Fitness is right in your fucking face. They lie right in your face.
@asker
There's nothing deceitful in prostitution and sex slavery? Is that a joke?
No it's not. Germany estimates something like 80% of it's prostitutes are trafficked. Don't remember the exact number but it was very high.
So I don't know you can draw two conclusions from that, either men don't care or men don't know. Maybe I'm too optimistic to think they don't know
And ya it's only part of the industry. It's the same with fitness, there are good companies out there that make no deceiving claims. It's normal that whole industry has variety in how they operate
And ya weapons are pretty bad too. There are lot of dirt industries fitness doesn't even make the top 10
All it is is exercise = can be done at home, normal clothes
Calories in vs out

No one has ever achieved a fitness model physique with something like this.
ODD - that you should introduce the term "fitness model" into this Q
about becoming more fit.. how to... and what's real... then the dirty business of it all
to
one commenting how she agrees most of it is hype if only being fit is the goal
Then to begin a tangent argument, you make a statement
far from thanks for your time/interest in participating my my Q
Then this argument genesis begs the flaws in it, e. g.
you state "no one"
as IF you are an expert with lots of research?
If so, please link us to your thesis, PhD
What country ARE you from?
I disagree with the part about workout programs. If you workout hard and consistently, you will see results.

Can you back up any of these claims with any real substantial evidence that all supplements are bullshit?
ooooooooooooooooo
Yes I can - no one has ever made more gains with them.
Okay show it to me then.
Have you ever even been to a gym?
I work out every day? What does that have to do with the fact you cannot produce not one shred of proof to back up what you are saying? Have you read any credible articles on this subject? Have you done a clinical study on this matter and had your results published in a credible health resource? Or are you just pulling facts out of your asshole because you want to think you know something about something you know nothing about. Why even argue something that you have personally never done research on because all it does is make you seem ignorant.
I don't know how often you work out, how da fuk would I know that.
You can read ANY study about ANY supplement and see that it produces no substantial gains. (1% difference in whatever is not gains, it's bullshit)
Things that actually work are banned.
The best thing you could do though, is go to a gym and look at the people that use supplements, they look like shit. They look orders of magnitude worse than fitness models.
I can't argue with someone this stupid. You are completely missing the point I am trying to make to you but whatever. Do you honesty think when people take creatine that is just some powder dust that does nothing? Saying that is like saying aspirin is a myth. When you take any supplement it's going to do "something" to your body. Wether it directly contributes to gains or not is debatable because it effects everyone differently. Olympic athletes take this shit all of the time because certain supplements work for certain people that is clinically proven too and I can provide proof if you want it. Saying the "all" supplants don't work is just ignorant because they cause chemical reactions within your body that have varying effects and to some people they actually do work. Also going to the gym and staring at people is not a way to learn something about the effects of supplements on the human body lol wtf
Yes, creatine is dust that does jack shit. Get 2 more reps, wow, such gains.
Olympic athletes? What exactly do you mean by creatine I have to ask if you mention this. Creatine as creatine mono-hydrate or creatine as performance enhancing drugs? Because they sure use the latter.
Yep you went full retard I'm out
You're so young and naive. Give it some time and you will be embarrassed of what you write here.
It is somewhat misleading. That is how they make money.
Do you think it's good?
It can be especially if you do your own research too. I have little sympathy for people who follow fads and eat pills and other things without looking closely at it. I personally use Whey protein which works for me. I know some people who have benefitted from personals trainers. Fitnews industry trys to paint a picture of one size fits all, but people forget to try things out
Whey protein is a fad.
What exactly is it doing?
What the hell is lean muscle? Is there fat muscle too?
So just muscle. Whey protein has absolutely no effect on that.
I don't know why people think protein powders do some kind of magic. It is what they say it is: Protein !
You need protein to build muscle but it doesn't do the work for you. I take protein powder and not the girly ones and a lot of people keep telling me I shouldn't because I'll be looking ripped and too masculine. What exactly do they think it does?
You definitely need to do some more research into this before posting this. Protein supplementation when implemented correctly has been shown to improve performance and body composition (the "gains" you refer to). Personal Trainers are hit and miss, depends on their knowledge base and their ability to apply it to individual clients.
Politics is the dirtiest business in the world. It always has been, and it always will be
I voted B
Becsuse I think p*rn is the dirtiest business in the world
Why? They don't lie in any way. They give exactly what is advertised.
How? Fake breasts?
Misleading but by no means the dirtiest business.
Thread is a joke.
