I've also noticed new stretch marks. And they're.. Pretty noticeable.
Did losing fat cause them?

Trending & News Becoming fat causes excess skin growth.
Losing the fat strinks the flesh under the skin , and like a deflated balloon stretch marks appears.
Rest assure given enough time eventually the stretch mark will disappear eventually.
It's from both rapid loss and rapid gain.
Don't sweat them though. They fade after a while. Toning up helps. Replace some of that lost weight with muscle.
Gaining or losing weight on and off too rapidly can cause massive stretch marks. My brother went from being like 200lbs (hes tall) to 280lbs and then back down to 220 (he's like 6'3") and he had huge stretch marks.
It does cause stretch marks if you lose the weight to fast. Sadly you can't lose body fat in only certain areas. The stomach/thighs area is normally the last place to lose extra fat. :(
