- Drink lots of water. I drink 2 litres every day, by using a 500ml bottle and making sure I fill it 4 times.
- Keep your hair away from your face. I always wear a hairband and plait my hair whenever I'm at home, to keep it off my face. Hair carries oil and dirt, no matter how clean it is.
- Use a silk pillow, and keep it clean. Dirt can accumulate on pillows. Using a silk pillow is mostly to keep my hair healthy, but it can also help skin.
- Don't wear makeup. I only wear makeup on very special occasions, ie, once every few months. Some people say that they need the makeup to hide skin blemishes, but honestly, if you just don't wear it for a month or so, and just bear with it for that time period, you won't need to keep wearing it. I've never worn foundation in my life, and that's probably the reason I'm okay without makeup. Wear lip balm though. I keep lip balms at school, home, my bag, the car, and my usual jacket pocket.
- If you do wear makeup, make sure it's good quality. Please don't put poor quality stuff on your skin.
- Find a good skincare routine. Experiment until you find the right one. Also, as my mother told me, you're never too young to care about your skin. I already use a serum, a moisturiser, and an eye cream. Don't apply moisturiser to oily spots on your face, but serum can be applied anywhere, as can toner.
- Wash your face. At least twice a day. I do a hot cloth cleanse, because it works so much better than cotton pads. And I never use face wipes. Always wash your face every night or you will regret it.
- Face masks. Lots of them. I use one every week, on Sundays, whilst I'm just surfing the net.
-Tea tree oil. It is god. Just dilute it a little, and apply to any spots.
- Always wear SPF. I use a moisturiser with SPF 15 every day, and whenever I'm going outdoors for the day, not just to school, I wear SPF 50, but that might just be me. Skin cancer is not cool.
- Don't use tanning beds. I tan my legs naturally in the sun sometimes, but sticking with fake tan is safer.

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser. Avoid scrubbing too hard or using rough washcloths or loofahs. Always get an alcohol-free toner, and get a toner that fits your skin type. Toner helps firm and tighten your skin as it wipes away dirt in your pores. you tend to have oily skin, save the heavy moisturizer for nighttime and use a light or gel formula in the morning. Remove your makeup every night. It can be hard to do this if you're very tired, but it pays off. Pick up makeup removal wipes at the drugstore and rely on them when you're too exhausted to do the whole routine.

Drinking water, exfoliating twice a week, using tea tree oil based cleansers, moisturising (yes, even though I have oily skin) and I'm on the contraceptive pill, which has helped my skin a lot. I barely get spots anymore.
Don't wear foundation. Don't touch your face. Don't over-moisturize. Don't eat greasy foods. Don't scrub your face too much.
Try washing your face with a gentle cleanser 2 times a day and use a light moisturizer. If you have acne try using some medication like bp. Good luck!
