Do people have the right to end their own life?

Do you think people have the right to commit suicide or not?
In my opinion people should decide themselves how they want to live their life. So if they want to commit suicide it's their decision. Not that I support the idea of killing yourself but I think you are free to do whatever you want in life, even if taking your own life is what you want the most.
I came across this on another website and I was kind of curious how other people think about this. So please share your thoughts.

Personally, I don't know how to answer this, just that suicide isn't the answer. And yes I am gonna go a little more personal and I apologize before hand.
My little brother committed suicide about a year & 4 months ago. It's been hard. But I think that if you don't like your life and you feel hopeless, I believe that you should try and get some help and change something.
I don't know if this helped, but this topic hits close to home for me /.\ and no I don't say this for attention.

Somtimes people have horrible lives and they just can't take it but I'm no form I'm not supporting it. It is their right. Like should It be against the law for me to color my hair or get a tattoo or pierces?

I think it's a stupid Idea to commit suicide but I'm in no position to judge someone who's suicidal. If you hate your life and there's nothing you can to about it and I mean NOTHING then you should be able to take your own life. Its your life at the end of the day but you've still got to consider family, friends and anyone who will miss you and how they will feel.

When I was in high school I worked on a play "Whose Life Is It Anyway? " about a man who was in a hospital room and just wanted to end it (he was paralyzed from the neck down). Which explored these questions, and I came to the conclusion that yes, you should be able to kill yourself.

Good question that'll have polarizing answers. My question is why? If it's something like depression then I'd say no because there's treatment for it. If a teenager does a rash decision because of a breakup then no. People considering it need to know that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem

Funerals are very expensive. If they've got the cash to pay for their plot, the herse, family car, headstone and all other expenses, whatever. Otherwise, no. Don't do that then lumber the cost of a funeral (which go into thousands)
Personally, funeral costs and family grief is why I'm still alive. When most of my family is dead and I have enough money for the funeral my family would want for me... Maybe.

No one has the right to take their own life. They didn't CREATE their life, so why should they have the right to end it?

Of course there are situations where they should be allowed to do so...
