For me I do these steps pretty much following one another:
- drink a lot of water
- take some pain killers
- go outside and breathe some fresh air
- sleep
It also depends on the strength of the head aches but they usually always fade after I've had the pain killers.

I take an over the counter pain pill and go to sleep. The pill helps me ease into sleep. Sleeping makes my headache go away long after the pill has worn off.

-Try to be around no sound etc.I get migraines which usually have triggers that set them off. It's best to avoid those things that set off these headaches. If I do get one a dark quiet room & sleep is the only solution for me.
Cool wet towel on the back of my neck and cold water as I sit in a room with minimal light.
Drinking water and going to sleep. Also ibuprofen.
