Living a healthy life is important regardless of when you die. Eating right gives you more energy, improves the chemical balance in your brain, and boosts your self-esteem just to name a few benefits! Yes, you may get in that car accident but you may actually make it out alive. You may get diagnosed with that deadly disease but be one of the lucky few survivors. It's wise to always plan for the best but be prepared for the worse. Simply hoping for the worse and being unprepared for the best would be a disaster. If you don't take care of your body, it wont' take care of you!

It's not pointless - you'll feel better - physically and emotionally. if you live in a healthy manner.
You will be able to do more things, be more resilient and more energetic.
Diet is a certain food eating way - doesn't have to be to get a leaner body or to provide larger muscle mass... but what is important is to eat clean good foods - natural foods.
Also - exercise.
If you want to stay fit you don't have to eat just lettuce - exercise...
Well I sometimes wonder if all the hours I spend in the gym will give me an extra days on my death bed. I do it because I'm still lifting, running, surfing (not too well) biking, volleyball or whatever else friends are up for.
To your point my dad was an identical twin. He would rather walk then take the car. My dad dies at 56 of a heart attack. He was active & still enjoyed life. His brother was a skid row bum. He lasted 6 more months. That could be because they were identical twins & had the same genetic defect?
Well, I won't be alive to talk about it obviously lol.
I completely see your point though. Anything can happen at any moment. We're all going to die eventually, so you're right. I just like feeling guy and exercising, I also hate dieting but I have been doing it just to trim up.
My great grandma was the perfect example of this. She ate junk food all her life and smoked and drank alcohol for 80 years, before she died at the age of 93. She was lucky but she was able to pull it off lol.

Not really. Why bother doing anything healthy? Just go out, fuck, get STDs and AIDS. Drink all day and snort cocaine. Since you can die at any moment, why bother trying to live long?
Because it's better to die healthy than live unhealthily. Just don't stress about it, since that's also unhealthy.Lets be honest every minute we are awake and every minute we are asleep every time we wake up and go to bed and every second in between is a calculated risk.
We could die at any moment, but I would rather ignore that and live a life worth living that means being strong, healthy and fit, I've never been afraid of death and I certainly won't let it dictate my life and whether I should or need to be fit or just let myself go etc.
Neither should you.I'll take my chances in that car wreck or deadly disease with a strong, healthy and active body over a weak, fat, and unhealthy body any day of the weak.
My cousin just had a heart attack and he is a big health nut. He has genetic high cholesterol, so he stays active and eats healthy. Now he's on all kinds of meds to help prevent another heart attack.
This is what I tell myself when I want to eat garbage but know I shouldn't lol.
Helps you not feel guilty about the decision. The chances of getting sick are higher if you are fat. Don't make excuses
I think I would rather die young than be really old.
That's what makes life feel, well, ALIVE! It's why we take risks, and go for the radical decisions.
Yes but being healthy reduces the chances of it happening sooner. Why do anything like school or investing when you could die at any moment?
Because feeling good > feeling sick.
