Work on my legs (thighs) NOT my butt?

So my butt kind of moulds into my thighs if you get what I mean. My butt is really big, (40 inch) but it looks a lot smaller because of my fat thighs. So I really do not want to change my butt at all, is there any exercises that I can do without it working my butt? Please do not say squats, I have knee problems, but any other exercise is fine, thanks :).
